  • DWLL

DWLL (94.7 FM), branded as Mellow 947, is an FM radio station, airing an Adult Top 40 format. It is owned by FBS Radio Network Inc. The station's studio and transmitter are located at Paragon Plaza, EDSA, Mandaluyong City. Mellow 947 operates 24/7.

    History

The station began broadcasts in 1973 (when the Philippines was under Martial Law) as DWLL-FM, The Mellow Touch, one of the pioneer FM stations that did not have live announcers and music DJs in their programming. The station relied entirely on the pre-recorded voice-over of retired former DWBL disc jockey Butch Gonzales to bridge segues between songs. Butch Gonzales' taped voice-over also served the purpose of an occasional time-check, usually at the "Top" and "Bottom" of certain hours of each day. Butch Gonzales' voice also became the Mellow Touch's signature voice, as he softly reminded the loyal listeners of tunes for "a bike ride along the boulevard", every hour as the Station ID jingle plays. The sound of his voice instantly translates to soft sentimental music that was clearly associated with the Mellow music of this FM station at the time.

    Vision statement

A vision statement is a declaration of an organization's objectives, ideally based on economic foresight, intended to guide its internal decision-making.

    Definition and structure

A vision statement is a company's road map, indicating both what the company wants to become and guiding transformational initiatives by setting a defined direction for the company's growth. Vision statements undergo minimal revisions during the life of a business, unlike operational goals which may be updated from year-to-year. Vision statements can range in length from short sentences to multiple pages. Vision statements are also formally written and referenced in company documents rather than, for example, general principles informally articulated by senior management. A vision statement is not limited to business organizations and may also be used by non-profit or governmental entities.

A consensus does not exist on the characteristics of a "good" or "bad" vision statement. Commonly cited traits include:

    Frank Duval

Frank Duval (born November 22, 1940, Berlin) is a German composer, conductor, record producer, songwriter and singer.

Born into an artists' family, he studied as an actor and dancer, but also sang with his sister, Maria. By the 1960s, Duval was also composing music, both orchestral and pop, and his first soundtrack, for an episode of the German serial Tatort, was broadcast in 1977. From his 1979 first album, Die Schönsten Melodien Aus Derrick und der Alte, the song "Todesengel" became a moderate hit.

During the 1980s, Duval released several soundtracks, as well as proper artist albums (with occasional lyrical help from his wife, Kalina Maloyer). He was in the German charts several times, with "Angel of Mine" (a number one hit in 1981), "Ways" (1983), "Lovers Will Survive" (1986), and "When You Were Mine" (1987).

Duval wrote songs for Ivan Rebroff, Alexandra, Karin Huebner, Margot Werner, Klaus Löwitsch, and Maria Schell.

    A Vision

RETURN TO THE CENTRE OF THE EARTH
    1. NARRATION 1: A VISION
On the 24th of May 1863, Professor Lidenbrook and his nephew Axel discovered an old parchment within a 12th century volume entitled "Heims Kringla", itself a chronicle of the Norwegian Princes who had ruled over Iceland.
Written in runic manuscript by Arne Saknussemm (an alchemist of the 16th century) it translated:-
......"Descend into the crater of Sneffels Yokul, over which the shadow of Scataris falls before the kalends of July, bold traveller, and you will reach the centre of the earth."
Two centuries forward from this discovery, three geologian explorers traversed land and sea before they reached the mass of volcanic tufa known as Iceland. Veiled in secrecy, their purpose: - to emulate the journey that had been taken by their forefathers two hundred years previous.
For fear of being followed, their identities were known to no-one, and for this reason, as they began their ascent through vast fields of ice toward the magnificent snowy nightcap of the Sneffels volcano, their expectations became inexplicably intertwined with those of unease, as they prepared to challenge timeless history.
On reaching the tabletop summit, they slowly descended into the crater of Sneffels Yokul.........
