Kim Sa-rang (actress)

Kim Sa-rang (Hangul: 김사랑; born January 12, 1978) is a South Korean actress. She is most known for her work in the Television series Secret Garden and being crowned Miss Korea in 2000.

Background

Kim was crowned Miss Korea on May 28, 2000 at the Sejong Cultural Center, the site of the 1980 Miss Universe Pageant. She represented Korea in the Miss Universe Pageant 2001. During the pageant, she won the award for Best National Costume, which was a Korean hanbok dress.

Kim Sa-Rang is a Christian and has one older brother.

She has a degree in traditional Korean music from Yong-In University.

Lee Ki-woo (born October 23, 1981) is a South Korean actor. He is best known for his roles in The Classic (2003), Tale of Cinema (2005), A Love to Kill (2005), and Flower Boy Ramyun Shop (2011).

Personal life

Lee enlisted for his mandatory military service on November 9, 2009, and after 22 months of active duty at the Armed Forces Seoul Hospital, he was discharged on September 1, 2011.

He began dating actress Lee Chung-ah in 2013; they were costars in the 2011 series Flower Boy Ramyun Shop.

A Love to Kill (Hangul: 이 죽일 놈의 사랑; RR: I juk-il nom-ui sarang) is a 2005 South Korean television drama series, starring Rain,Shin Min-ah, Kim Sa-rang and Lee Ki-woo. It aired on KBS2 from October 31 to December 20, 2005 on Mondays and Tuesdays at 21:55 for 16 episodes.

Synopsis

Kang Bok-gu (Rain) is a skilled K-1 fighter. However, he has never tried to win a single fight, as he has no desire for the attention that will come with a title. He lives in the same house with Han Da-jung (Kim Sa-rang), who saved him from a fire when they were teenagers. Racked by guilt that she became scarred as a result and knowing her love for him, Bok-gu intends to spend the rest of his life with her, even though he is not in love with her. After years of being estranged from his older brother Kang Min-gu (Kim Young-jae), Bok-gu finally reconciles with him. However, the reunion is short-lived. Min-gu attempts suicide upon learning of the engagement of his ex-girlfriend, Cha Eun-suk (Shin Min-ah).

Shin Min-a

Shin Min-a (born Yang Min-a on 5 April 1984) is a South Korean actress. She is best known for starring in television dramas A Love to Kill, My Girlfriend Is a Nine-Tailed Fox, Arang and the Magistrate and Oh My Venus.

Career

Shin Min-a began her career as a model for teen magazine KiKi in 1998, then appeared in several music videos for K-pop boyband g.o.d, until her acting debut in 2001. The newcomer quickly rose to stardom, through the high school martial arts comedy Volcano High with Jang Hyuk, and the college romance Madeleine with Jo In-sung. She took on a supporting role in Kim Jee-woon's film noir A Bittersweet Life, reuniting her with previous Beautiful Days co-star Lee Byung-hun. This was followed by leading roles in the melodrama A Love to Kill with Rain, the romantic comedy The Beast and the Beauty with Ryoo Seung-bum, and the psychological thriller The Devil with Uhm Tae-woong and Ju Ji-hoon.

As Shin entered her mid-twenties, she began showcasing more maturity in her choice of roles, playing a sexy counterculture singer in Go Go 70s, an unfaithful wife in The Naked Kitchen, and a cynical young woman in search of her father in Sisters on the Road. But Shin became best known for her portrayals of supernatural horror icons revamped into endearingly innocent yet spunky heroines in the rom-com My Girlfriend Is a Nine-Tailed Fox (2010), and the historical drama Arang and the Magistrate (2012).

Shim Mina (born December 10, 1972), known by her stage name, Mina (미나), is a South Korean singer and dancer. She rose to fame at the World Cup in 2002, eventually deciding to become a K-pop singer.

Dancing career

Shim Mina was first a backup dancer for various Korean pop artists such as Park Jin-young and Park Ji-yoon.

Discovery

She initially found instant fame as "Miss World Cup" at the 2002 FIFA World Cup; when pictures of her with the "Be The Reds!" bandanna around her chest and the Korean flag used as a skirt were beamed around the world. Afterwards, she signed a record deal with J-Entercom Entertainment, and prepared to release her debut album.

2002: Rendezvous

Mina released her debut single 전화받어 ("Answer the Phone") in October 2002. She subsequently released her first album, Rendezvous later in that month.

2004: Re:Turn 2 Mina and departure from J-Entercom Entertainment

After a two-year hiatus, Mina came back with her second album in 2004, titled Re:turn 2 Mina. She stated at the time that she wanted to be taken seriously as a singer, and no longer wanted to be known as "Miss World Cup". The lead single from the album,돌아 ("Turn"), was a strong hit for Mina, as it was performed on SBS's Popular Song numerous times, which caused the song to enter the Top 5 of the Korean music charts. Promotion for the album was accompanied by live vocal performances of various songs from the album. This album proved to be more popular than her debut album, and sold many copies.
