Ausa

Ausa is a town with a municipal council in Latur District in the state of Maharashtra, India. It is also the headquarters for Ausa Taluka.

Geography

Ausa is located at 18°15′N 76°30′E / 18.25°N 76.5°E / 18.25; 76.5. It has an average elevation of 634 metres (2080 feet).

History

When Ausa was a Taluka, the recent Latur district place was a just part of this big Ausa Taluka. Ausa is as it is, but, Latur developed as a big city and a district place having more than 5 lac population. Ausa has an ancient fort. It was developed in es1200.and one of temple name is malynath maharaj

Agriculture

Around the Killari area, grape production is large and is an important export. In the Almala village are famous for production in Sugarcane. Bhada village is famous for producing carrots in whole district. The major river in Ausa is Tavaraja and Terana. It is a large market for livestock like cows, buffaloes, goats in both the Latur and Osmanabad districts. There is a need of APMC market in ausa.

Ausa (river)

The Ausa is a minor river some 17 kilometres (11 mi) long that traverses part of northern San Marino and Emilia–Romagna in Italy. The source of the river is Monte Titano in central San Marino. The river flows northeast past Serravalle and crosses the border into the Italian province of Rimini close to Dogana. The river continues flowing northeast and is channelled through storm drains at Rimini before emptying into the Adriatic Sea south of the mouth of the Marecchia River. At 55 metres (180 ft) above sea level, it is the lowest point of San Marino.

Ausa (Vidhan Sabha constituency)

Ausa is one of an Assembly Constituency in Latur.

After the delimitation excrcise, the Ausa Assembly Constituency is made of some villages in Ausa taluk and some villages in Nilanga taluk. Remaining villages of Ausa taluka are attached to Latur Rural Assembly Constituey. Further the Ausa constituency is partially attached to Latur Lok Sabha and partially to Osmanabad Lok Sabha constituency.

In Ausa Assembly constituency traditionally Indian National Congress party is the strongest party.
