Shawn Lee may refer to:
Shawn Lee, born Shawn Lee Mahan in Wichita, Kansas, is an American musician, producer, award-winning video game composer, and multi-instrumentalist from Wichita, Kansas who now lives in London, England. He is currently working on a new touring band project with AM entitled "AM & Shawn Lee". AM & Shawn Lee's debut album Celestial Electric was released around the world in 2012 and their new second album La Musique Numérique was released in 2013.
Shawn Lee was born to a mother of Lebanese and American Indian ancestry and his father of Irish-American ancestry. Lee has relocated twice in pursuit of his career. He moved to Los Angeles in 1988 where he worked with The Dust Brothers and Jeff Buckley. After being in various bands, performing on The Tonight Show, a publishing deal with EMI and touring on Lollapolooza, Lee moved to London, England. There he signed a solo record deal with Talkin' Loud.
This resulted in an album Discomfort which was only promo released in France 1996. In 2000, Lee released Monkey Boy on Wall of Sound Records. The album included Lee's song "Happiness", which was later recorded by million selling British artist Will Young.
Shawn Lee (simplified Chinese: 李创锐; traditional Chinese: 李創銳; pinyin: Li Chuàngruì) (born February 11, 1990), born Lee Chuang Rui, is a Singaporean actor. He first came into prominence for his award-winning performance alongside his friend and co-star Joshua Ang in the box office hit I Not Stupid.
Lee was one of four child actors who successfully auditioned for the child lead roles in Jack Neo's hit film I Not Stupid. His performance in the sitcom adaptation earned him a nomination for the Best Young Talent award, which he won, along with co-stars Joshua Ang and Eric Huang at the 2002 Star Awards. He would go on to star alongside them in three more of Neo's films. He filmed his last movie in 2007 before leaving the industry to concentrate on his A Levels. He made a brief return to acting in Neo's new film We Not Naughty, which was released in conjunction with Chinese New Year 2012 and features former I Not Stupid co-stars Joshua Ang and Xiang Yun.
