"'Instead" is the opening track of Madeleine Peyroux's album Bare Bones. It was a retro-feeling and charted on the Japanese 100 Singles. According to Peyroux,the song is a reminder of how we should enjoy life and the things we have. Reportedly, she wrote it in a "dark point" of her life. To promote the song, it was released as a video of a live performance.

Stacie Orrico is the second studio album and self-titled album by American singer and songwriter Stacie Orrico, which was released on March 25, 2003 by ForeFront Records and Virgin Records. The album had mixed more of Orrico's native music of Contemporary Christian Music, to more pop and R&B styles, but also featured teen pop and dance music incorporating in it.

Stacie Orrico received generally favorable reviews from music critics, many calling Orrico the new "diva" of music, and praised the songs, but some said that it really was mixed with different genres. The album received charting success, with some peaking in the top spot. It peaked at number fifty-nine on the U.S. Billboard 200. It also peaked at the top spot on the Billboard Top Christian Albums, and was certified Gold by the RIAA. It peaked in the top ten in different countries, including Japan, Norway and the US, and the top twenty in Switzerland, New Zealand, Austria and Germany. The album was also nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album, but lost to Michael W. Smith.

Oenanthe javanica

Oenanthe javanica, Java waterdropwort,Japanese parsley or Chinese celery, is a plant of the water dropwort genus originating from East Asia. (Chinese celery is also the name given to Apium graveolens var. secalinum). It has a widespread native distribution in temperate Asia and tropical Asia, and is also native to Queensland, Australia.

While many other species of water dropwort are extremely toxic, Oenanthe javanica is edible, and is cultivated in China, India, Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand (ผักชีล้อม), Taiwan, and Vietnam, as well as in Italy, where its spring growths (called seri セリ in Japanese, minari 미나리 in Korean) are relished as a vegetable. It is one of the ingredients of the symbolic dish consumed in the Japanese spring-time festival, Nanakusa-no-sekku.

It is commonly consumed in the Northeast Indian State of Manipur, where it is called komprek in Meithei. It is one of the main ingredients in Manipuri Eromba and Singju.

This plant should not be confused with the plants of the genus Cryptotaenia, sometimes called "Japanese wild parsley" (mitsuba in Japanese).
