For all models sold beginning with the Boeing 707 in 1957, Boeing's naming system for commercial airliners has taken the form of 7X7. All model designations from 707 through 787 have been assigned, leaving 797 as the only 7X7 model name not assigned to a product.
7x7 was a city-living-focused fashion, lifestyle, food, culture, opinion and entertainment digital, print, mobile, social, commerce and events activation platform, covering the San Francisco Bay Area. Included in coverage are San Francisco, Marin, the East Bay and highlights from the Peninsula; the Bay Area wine regions including Napa and Sonoma counties, as well as Lodi and Livermore; the Lake Tahoe region; notable attractions along Highway 1; and Los Angeles.
7x7 was founded in 2001 by Tom Hartle and Heather Hartle, who had just moved from Detroit. While the name (pronounced "seven-by-seven") originally represented the approximate forty-nine square miles making up the City and County of San Francisco, the name has evolved to refer to 7 things to love for 7 days a week. 7x7 is produced by McEvoy Media. McEvoy Media is owned by the McEvoy Group.
In 2004 McEvoy Media, then Hartle Media, acquired a majority interest in California Home + Design and californiahomedesign.com. In 2006 it was involved in the purchase of Spin Magazine by the McEvoy Group; owners of Chronicle Books.
Turn your eyes to me
I am watching every move you make
What should I wear today on my sleeve?
And let's take a step and move away
Underground is where we'll stay for a while
And I will mix my tongue with strings and drums
And give my soul away
Can you hear them come?
Strings and drums
And you're my mystery
You are always at my fingertips
Without you, I'm just bones and skin
And I will lick your cuts and be your bruise
Until I fade from deepest blue into white
And I will mix my tongue with strings and drums
And give my soul away
Can you hear them come?
Strings and drums
And I will change my words from nouns to verbs
And never be ashamed
Can you hear them come?
Strings and drums
And I am writing myself clean
And I am selling myself cheap
And I am aching for a touch or a taste
And I'm aching, aching, aching now
I'm holding, holding, holding out
I'm calling, calling, calling out to you
And I will mix my tongue with strings and drums
And give my soul away
Can you hear them come?
Strings and drums
And I will mix my tongue with strings and drums
And give my soul away
Can you hear them come?
Strings and drums
And I will change my words from nouns to verbs
And never be ashamed
Can you hear them come?
Strings and drums.
