2004 Churchill Cup
The 2004 Churchill Cup was held between 14 June and 21 June 2004 in Calgary and Edmonton, Canada. It was the second edition of the Churchill Cup competition. The three original rugby union teams taking part in the men's competition: Canada, England A and the USA, were joined by the New Zealand Maori.
A women's competition, involving the same teams, took place alongside the men's event.
Format
The competition took on a straight 'knock-out' format. Four teams played in two semi-final matches, with the North American sides kept apart. The winners of each semi final competed in the final match, while the losers took part in a 3rd/4th place playoff. Four matches were played over a period of two weeks.

2005 Churchill Cup
The 2005 Churchill Cup was held between 14 June and 21 June 2005 in Edmonton, Canada. It was the third edition of the Churchill Cup competition. three of the four rugby union teams taking part in the 2004 men's competition, Canada, England A, the USA, returned to compete, while Argentina A replaced the Māori.
There was no women's event, although a similar event, the 2005 Canada Cup did take place.

2010 Churchill Cup
The 2010 Churchill Cup, the eighth edition of an annual international rugby union tournament, was taking place in the Denver and New York City metropolitan areas. This was the second consecutive year in which Denver was a host city, and the third in a row for the competition to be held in the United States.
Competitors
The three regular participants in the event — the senior national sides of the USA and Canada, and England's "A" (second-level) national side, the England Saxons — were joined by three first-time competitors:

The teams played in a round-robin format between two pools to decide the elimination matches. All six teams participated on the finals day: the two pool winners competed in the Cup Final, the two runners-up played in a Plate Final, and the two bottom-placed teams met in the Bowl Final.
Venues
After the 2008 tournament, which was played both in Canada and the United States, in 2009 all rounds of the tournament as well as the Finals Day were played around the Denver, Colorado area which was the future home for the tournament until the 2012 edition. The first three days of round-robin play were at the modern, purpose-built rugby stadium Infinity Park in Glendale, Colorado on the south side of Denver. For the first time in the tournament's history the finals were held at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey, which is home to New York's MLS team, the New York Red Bulls.
2009 Churchill Cup
The 2009 Churchill Cup took place between June 6 and June 21, 2009, in the seventh year of the Churchill Cup.
For the first time in the tournament's history, all rounds were held in the United States. This was done in an effort to reduce the cost of the tournament after the discontinued sponsorship by Barclays and to keep the tournament from being suspended for a year. Six rugby union teams took part: Canada, England Saxons, Ireland A, the USA, Argentina Jaguars, and for the first time in the tournament, the Georgia national team. Tickets for the event went on sale to USA Rugby members on April 2, 2009, and general sales tickets went on sale on April 24, 2009. The matches were broadcast live on Sky Sports in the UK and Setanta Sports North America in the US.
Winners
The Main Cup was won by Ireland A (who beat the England Saxons in the Cup Final), the Plate Competition was won by the Argentina Jaguars (who defeated Canada in the Final), and the Bowl Competition was won by the USA (who beat Georgia)
