K Street can refer to:
1430 K Street is a high-rise skyscraper building located in the United States capital of Washington, D.C. The building was constructed in 2005 and its construction was completed in 2006. On its completion, the building rose to 150 feet (46 m), featuring 12 floors. The building serves as an office and parking garage.
This was the first office building in the Washington downtown to be fully sold as a condominium. Non-profit associations and lobbying groups like the American Educational Research Association are buying floors of the building to replace their previous brownstone town houses which are not now suitable to be modern offices.
The architect of the building was Alkridge, who designed the post modern design of the building. Alkridge was selected to design the building by NEST and Totah Venture, marketing organizations. Before 1430 K Street was built, two buildings were demolished in order for the construction of this building to take place.
The Little Green House on K Street was a residence at 1625 K Street, NW, in Washington, DC, USA, that served as the unofficial headquarters of the Ohio Gang during the Presidential Administration of Warren G. Harding. The name itself entered the American lexicon as a symbol of political corruption. The Chicago Tribune described the home as one of "the symbols of a nation's disgrace." The house was the site of the planning for what became known as the Teapot Dome Scandal.
The house was constructed by J. B. Edmonds of Iowa, a retired attorney, in 1880 for US$17,000.
During the early 1920s, it was rented by associates of Attorney General Harry Daugherty, including Jess Smith and Howard Mannington, and served as the location for numerous Presidential poker parties. Many of the corrupt deals of Harding's associates were allegedly hatched there, according to testimony before the Senate Committee investigating the Teapot Dome Scandal.
The building was razed in 1941 to make way for the 12-story Commonwealth Building.
Would have done more than anything
Back then to make you smile
To the end of the earth and back
To protect all that we had
Now it's done and I'm gone
But you're back here in my face
So why you wanna go kickstart the drama?
Now don't you know you can't break through my armor?
Just leave me alone, leave me alone
Just leave me alone, leave me alone
Kickstart the drama
Kickstart the drama
It's a little too late to want me now
It's dead and gone
'Cause the fact that you messed things up
It's your fault and that's real talk
Now I'm done with your song
'Cause the melody's all wrong
So why you wanna go kickstart the drama?
Now don't you know you can't break through my armor?
Just leave me alone, leave me alone
Just leave me alone, leave me alone
So why you wanna go kickstart the drama?
Now don't you know you can't break through my armor?
Just leave me alone, leave me alone
Just leave me alone, leave me alone
Now I'll be the one that gets to not return your calls
And you'll be the one who gets to feel invisible
So why you wanna go kickstart the drama?
Now don't you know you can't break through my armor?
Just leave me alone, leave me alone
Just leave me alone, leave me alone
So why you wanna go kickstart the drama?
Now don't you know you can't break through my armor?
Just leave me alone, leave me alone
