"Flame" is a song by Sebadoh from their 1999 album The Sebadoh. It was released as a CD Single, and 7" vinyl record.

The song peaked at number 30 on the UK Singles chart. It is their highest charting single.

The Flame is a 1970 album released by South African band The Flames produced by Beach Boys member Carl Wilson. It's the only non-Beach Boys album to be released on their Brother Records label. According to Jerry Osbourne, "The Flame is widely-regarded as the first quad LP."

Flame (comics)

The Flame is a fictional superhero that appeared in comic books published by Fox Feature Syndicate. The Flame first appeared in Wonderworld Comics #3 (July 1939). He was created by writer Will Eisner and artist Lou Fine.

Publication history

The Flame's first appearance was in Fox's Wonderworld Comics #3, dated July 1939, (issues #1 & #2 being titled Wonder Comics). The Flame gained his own title in the summer of 1940; which ran for eight issues until January 1942. He was one of the titular Big 3, appearing in that periodical alongside Blue Beetle and Samson. Fox Publications folded in 1942, being forced to declare involuntary bankruptcy owing its creditors some $175,000.

Fictional character biography

The Flame's secret identity is Gary Preston. When Gary was a baby, his father Charteris Preston worked as a missionary in China. The elder Preston was washed away in a flood, but managed to save baby Gary by placing him in a basket. The basket was washed downstream to Tibet, where Gary was rescued by a group of lamas. They raised Gary in the lamasary, where they trained him in their mystical ways. Through this training, Gary gained the ability to control fire and temperature, including his own body temperature. He also gained the ability to travel from place to place by materializing inside of flame (even a match flame). When he reached adulthood, Gary returned to America to fight crime as The Flame. In Wonderworld Comics #30 (October 1941) The Flame was joined by a female sidekick, Flame Girl. Flame Girl was secretly Linda Dale, who was given similar powers as The Flame when Gary Preston was injured.

The place was earlier called "मठ" and during British rule in India, the name changed to "Moth" due to their British accent. The place has an old fort which is almost in to ruins now.

There is an old neem trees, that is mounted by mr. gya prasad khare, there is also an old hanuman mandir and hardol mandir.

Flame (1975 film)

Flame (불꽃 - Bulggot) is a 1975 South Korean film directed by Yu Hyun-mok. It was awarded Best Film at the Grand Bell Awards ceremony.

Synopsis

In this anti-communist film, a young man hiding from the Korean War learns about his father's death while fighting the Japanese. By telling him the family history, his mother inspires him to fight the North Korean communists.

Flame is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics.

Fictional character biography

Flame tried to burn down Dazzler's apartment, and she hired Power Man and Iron Fist to find out who was behind it. Flame caught Dazzler and tried to kill her, but she was able to defeat him.

Ferocia, Blue Streak, Flame, and Kingsize later broke Ricadonna from Sing Sing. Flame and his allies waited in the Corporation HQ on Hart Island and he trained his shapeshifting abilities, and Ricadonna told them that they would finish their job now. During the Heroes for Hire's attack on the Corporation's facility Flame fought Orka, and was later carried by Shang-Chi into an escape tunnel before it exploded.

Powers and abilities

Flame is an expert arsonist. His costume is fireproof and has goggles to protect his eyes from the intense glare of the fires he lights. The gloves of his costume are fitted with miniature flame-throwers and can shoot fireballs from the fingertips. He also wields a "fire-sword" which is a blade of super-hot flame.
