The Mount Pearl-Paradise Chamber of Commerce is hosting a meet the candidates event Monday morning for the federal riding of Cape Spear.
It will feature a moderated question and answer session with each of the candidates, and questions from those in the room.
The five candidates include:
- CURTIS, Corey (Conservative)
- OSBORNE, Tom (Liberal)
- PEACH, Mike (Animal Protection Party)
- TINGATE, Kaelem (Green Party)
- WALSH, Brenda (NDP-New Democratic Party)
Chamber executive director Wanda Palmer says it’s an important election for the chamber and its members.
She says they are hearing a lot about who is running, but not a lot of answers to questions that matter to them. Palmer says there are a lot of issues left on the “backburner” such as economic recovery, infrastructure and taxation. She hopes the event yields answers to those questions.
The event is set for 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Mount Pearl.
All are welcome to attend, but the Chamber is asking people to register in advance.
