The RNC have charged a 22-year-old man in connection with several armed robberies this week in St. John’s and Paradise.
The charges stem from three separate holdups at convenience stores on Tuesday and Wednesday morning.
The accused, who was not named by police, is facing 20 charges including three counts of robbery with a weapon, three counts of disguise with intent, three counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, dangerous driving, flight from police, escaping lawful custody and eight breaches of a court order.
There were no physical injuries in the robberies, during which the suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
