An Taoiseach Micheál Martin last night presented the prestigious Research Ireland St. Patrick’s Day Medal to UCC alumnus Michael Dowling, President and CEO of Northwell Health, in recognition of his position as one of the healthcare industry’s most highly respected voices in the United States.

The Northwestern Security and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (NSAIL), under the leadership of Professor V.S. Subrahmanian, and the Insight Research Ireland Centre for Data Analytics and UCC Futures on AI and Data Analytics at University College Cork, under the leadership of Professor Barry O’Sullivan, have entered into a partnership to support collaboration in the area of Geopolitics, Artificial Intelligence, National Security.

UCC has been named as one of the world's top universities for the study of 29 subjects according to the latest world subject rankings produced by higher education analysts, QS. This is up from 24 subjects featuring last year. Nursing (27), Agriculture & Forestry (84), Law (94), Performing Arts (51-100) have been ranked in the top 50 and top 100 in the world.
