Villanova forward Jordann Dumont has undergone surgery on both hips, the school announced Wednesday. The procedures were deemed successful, but there is no timeline for Dumont's return to basketball activities.

“Jordann did a great job last season learning our system in practice,” head coach Kyle Neptune said, via the school's announcement. “Unfortunately, this is a temporary setback for him in his on-court development. But he is committed to putting in the rehab work necessary to get him back on the court with his teammates and coaches as quickly as his health allows.”

Dumont did not appear in a game during his first season on the Main Line in 2023-24 and he maintains four years of eligibility. His role for 2024-25 was unclear, but Wednesday's news casts significant doubt on his ability to make an impact during the upcoming season.
