Virginia Pulcini
Virginia Pulcini is Full Professor of English Language and Linguistics at the University of Torino, Italy (Department of Modern Languages, Literature and Culture). She has carried out research in several fields of English linguistics, namely English phonetics and phonology (from a sociolinguistic and an English-Italian contrastive perspective), English Language Teaching (phonological interference, pronunciation errors), conversation analysis, learner English, English-Italian language contact (Anglicisms), lexicology and lexicography (bilingual dictionaries and dictionary-making) and English-medium instruction. Her most recent co-edited volumes are The Anglicization of European Lexis, (with C. Furiassi and F. Rodríguez González, John Benjamins 2012) and Languaging in and across Communities: New Voices, New Identities, (with S. Campagna, E. Ochse and M. Solly, Peter Lang, 2016)
