Spring, the water sector Centre of Excellence, has launched its fourth Innovation Accelerator Challenge and is calling for innovators from all backgrounds to apply.   The Spring Accelerator is an end-to-end innovation challenge process that has been created to identify innovative solutions that help address a significant need in the UK & Ireland water sector, reduce the duplication of innovation efforts, and provide a path to faster adoption. RSE is delighted to be official sponsors of the current programme, Spring Accelerator 4, that is looking to answer the question: “How can we better understand, monitor and manage emerging contaminants in wastewater?”   If you’re an innovator, don’t miss this opportunity to have your solutions seen, evaluated, and potentially adopted by the UK and Ireland water sector. You can find more information about the challenge on Spring’s website and the full Call for Innovation here: https://lnkd.in/e3jqc6PV RSE Innovations

RSE Innovations were delighted to visit Biomatrix Water Living Machine at Findhorn along with Scottish Water The Living Machine uses live plants, microorganisms, and engineered ecosystems to naturally purify water—demonstrating how cutting-edge green technology can support water management. It was fascinating to see how this approach not only improves water quality but can also enhances local biodiversity, creating a harmonious balance between technology and nature. This visit highlights the potential for sustainable water solutions that can be adapted across Scotland and beyond. Here’s hoping that we see more and more nature based solutions to water treatment in the not to distant future. #RSE #Sustainability #WaterManagement #WastewaterTreatment #EnvironmentalEngineering #Biomatrix #ScottishWater #CircularEconomy 🏞️💧🪷🌿🦆

This week, RSE has been participating in the NWG (Northumbrian Water Group) 'Champagne Super Overflow' (CSO) Innovation Festival Sprint at Newcastle Racecourse. The Design Sprint group, made up of a diverse range of industry players, has come together to explore new ideas, concepts, and technologies to find answers to the key questions: 💧 What would the perfect Storm Overflow look like? 💧 What technology would it include? 💧 What is the "Art of the Possible" 💧What do the Public and Key Stakeholders want to see the industry invest in? Today, as part of this ongoing discussion and in response to the questions listed above, RSE will be presenting and exhibiting our m-MMBR™ process to the group. RSE's m-MMBR™ process is securely housed within a purpose-built sectional tank, which has been designed and engineered to make the process robust, simple to operate, readily transportable, and available for service on site within a short period of time upon delivery to site. We look forward to participating in a discussion about our solutions with some of the best minds in the industry. The event's activities have also included various workshops, an F1 Car Pitstop Trial, and visits from inspirational individuals including Ellie Simmonds (Former Paralympian) and Steve Cram (Former Olympian) who have shared insights from their successful sporting careers, as well as challenging the attendees to 'think differently' to evolve. Our attendees look forward to what the rest of the event will bring and are proud to be a part of the discussions and innovation process that will change the future of the water industry. #NWGInnovationsFestival #WaterTechnology #SustainableSolutions #InnovationsSprint

RSE is supporting the NWG (Northumbrian Water Group) Innovation Festival between 8th July – 12th July 2024, at Newcastle Racecourse. We kindly invite you to our sponsored Sprint Session called ‘Champagne Super Overflow’ between Tuesday 9th – Thursday 11th July, as part of the Innovation Festival.  Sprint Description: What would the perfect Storm Overflow look like and what technology would it include? The sprint is a 4-day focused workshop and is suitable for anyone interested in innovating storm overflows and cares about reducing stormwater spills into the environment. The workshop will revolve around collecting the right data and bringing a human and behavioural perspective to the challenge, looking at what can be constructed and improved through the use of technology to manage the existing storm overflows NWG is responsible for. RSE will also be showcasing our new Modular Wastewater Treatment Plant (m-MBBR™ Evo20.3) as part of the festival, so come along to see how RSE is transforming the water industry. We are especially interested in making this sprint as multi-disciplinary as we can by bringing as many different perspectives to the challenge as possible, so we welcome all backgrounds and professions. With the topic of storm overflows being so high profile at present, this sprint is extremely important to the wider water industry. It would be great if you, or other members of your team, could contribute to some or all of the days of the sprint session. If you are interested in attending, please register for the festival on the event website: Register (innovationfestival.org) Event registrations are being booked quickly, so we recommend early registration to confirm your space!  Click to find the full details on the Northumbrian Water Group Innovation Festival here: https://lnkd.in/egFvTvZq RSE Innovations Mark Livingston Mark Tench Jon McAteer Gary Callachan Stephen Sandilands #InnovationFestival24

We are thrilled to announce the expansion of our production facilities with the opening of our new Deephaven facility in Evanton. As part of this major growth, RSE has invested £1.2 million in state-of-the-art equipment to elevate our production capabilities and meet the increasing demand propelled by the AMP8 investment from UK Water Companies. The new Deephaven 2-acre site features two workshops that will house equipment including a 3D robotic plasma cutting machine, which is said to reduce fabrication preparation time by 60%, minimise hand-arm vibration, and enhance the quality of the cut and fabricated items. The facility is dedicated to producing our sustainable water treatment technologies, including the modular Ceramic Treatment Unit (m-CTU) range of modules and Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (m-MBBR) treatment solutions. These innovative products are vital for addressing the current and future needs of the water treatment industry, with the Deephaven facility providing the capacity for repeatable factory-produced water technology solutions that deliver efficiency and reliability.
