Here's an insider's look at his exciting role: ☕️Hi, Armando, can you tell us a bit more about your current role? I work closely with our Central Creators team to help drive growth for Amazon Fashion and brands on Amazon Fashion through content creators such as influencers, blogs, and online media publications. My job is to help our content creators easily discover our top fashion brands and products and create opportunities for them to connect with our fashion brands. ☕️How do you support brands as part of your role? I love finding new ways to help our creators and brands come together. From finding ways to enrich the Amazon shopping journey through influencer shoppable content or helping to organise virtual and in-person events that help inspire our content creators to discover new brands and products, my team works hard to help elevate the experience for brands, content creators, and our customers in new and exciting ways. ☕️What was the highlight of your year? This year, we held our second EU Creator Summit in London, bringing together content creators from across Europe to learn more about our affiliate program. It was interesting to learn more about how they discover our brands and products, what their audiences think about Amazon as a fashion destination, and how we can better support them as partners. ☕️What are you most excited about going forward?     On a breezy Mediterranean afternoon, we had the pleasure of hosting some of our fabulous fashion brands at an intimate event in Madrid. This elegant gathering provided us with an opportunity to share our vision, our plans, and the many innovative ways in which brands can enrich their partnership with Amazon through collaborations with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Amazon Ads, Amazon Music, Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios, and Shipping. The event commenced with an inspiring speech by Ruth Díaz Barrigón, Vice President of Amazon Fashion Europe, on the power of partnerships. This was followed by a series of insightful panel discussions featuring leaders from across Amazon, including a fireside chat on 'The Tech Innovation Shaping the Future of Fashion' mediated by Craig Crawford. After a productive afternoon of valuable in-person meetings, the event concluded with a showcase from Amazon Music, demonstrating how music and fashion can unite to inspire our customers. As the evening unfolded, we enjoyed the melodic beats of a guest DJ, complemented by a beautiful Spanish summer night.     From AI insights to innovative ideas – Shoptalk Europe had it all!    Last week the Amazon Fashion team attended #Shoptalk, Europe's top retail event, brimming with the most senior retail, brand, tech and investor decision makers from over 70 countries. It's the place where fashion, beauty, and consumables meet to connect and discuss retail's digital transformation.    At this year’s event, leaders from across Amazon delivered keynotes and took part in panel discussions, including Ruth Díaz Barrigón, Vice President of Amazon Fashion Europe, who was interviewed by Kirsty McGregor from Vogue Business on building and implementing an AI strategy in fashion.     Insights and inspiration from Fashion Retail Networking event 📰 We recently hosted a panel discussion at our London office with a line-up of speakers from the fashion industry. Fiona Lambert, ex-Managing Director of Jaeger, Emmalene Maxwell, CFO at The Fold London, and Heather Wood-Stringer, CFO at Seraphine, spoke about the evolving challenges and opportunities in the fashion sector. Here are some insights from their conversation: 🎤 Emmalene Maxwell highlighted the importance of servicing time-poor customers, the future of artificial intelligence for online styling, and leveraging augmented reality for virtual try-ons to deliver a real-world shopping experience online. 🎤 Fiona Lambert encouraged retail teams to foster a culture of innovation and learn from failures, stressing that fashion involves constant experimentation. She also spoke about how vital it is to focus on customer-centricity and using intuition in a world where data is king. 🎤 Heather Wood-Stringer underscored the critical role of digital transformation for small to medium-sized fashion brands. She stressed how crucial an omnichannel experience is for connecting the customer journey from the physical store to the website: enabling retailers to create a seamless experience for customers.
