Have you heard this jargon: "single source of truth" yet? It truly is where digital transformation starts. It begins with data centralization. People are doing amazing work at the GP. Wouldn't it be also helpful if they know where it matters the most? GP partners know that moving a GP practice from appointment based to triaging model is a transparent and financially viable way to run the practice. But how is triaging model freeing up the phone lines? We are very lucky to have a lot of data in the NHS and GP surgery, but Power Platform offers something different: the ability to creatively bring all of our data into one app and share it with members of staff where they are. On Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and in our slides. Getting certified ensures that we use the best standards in our deliveries.

Fellow ID FE/23/74030060 Cohort 2 Yakubu Musibaudeen Year 1: Laying the Foundation The first year will be focused on completing the 3MTT Data Science program, where I will solidify my understanding of data analytics, machine learning, and statistical modeling. Alongside this, I’ll begin pursuing certifications in core tools like Python, SQL, and Power BI to strengthen my technical skills. By the end of this year, I plan to start working on small projects that apply these tools to Fintech data, such as building dashboards or predictive models for fraud detection. Year 2: Building a Portfolio In the second year, my focus will shift towards practical experience. I’ll actively contribute to open-source projects on platforms like GitHub, showcasing my skills by solving real-world data problems. I’ll also participate in data science competitions on Kaggle, where I can gain valuable experience and exposure to various challenges in data modeling. At this stage, I’ll begin developing a portfolio that demonstrates my capability in handling fintech-specific problems like customer behavior analysis and fraud prevention. Year 3: Expanding Skillset and Mentorship By the third year, I aim to be working as a junior data scientist in a Fintech company, contributing to larger projects that involve machine learning and big data. I will also seek mentorship from Tobi Williams B. , a local expert who has experience in Fintech, and Andrew Ng , who has inspired me with his work in AI and online education. Their guidance will help me stay updated on the latest industry trends, techniques, and best practices, ensuring I keep evolving in my role. Year 4: Advanced Certifications and Leadership In the fourth year, I will pursue advanced certifications in areas like AI and Cloud Computing. I plan to dive deeper into the intersection of data science, blockchain, and web3 technologies, which will allow me to explore more complex roles within the Fintech space. I aim to take on leadership roles in data science projects, potentially mentoring junior data scientists or leading small teams to execute data-driven Fintech innovations. Year 5: Becoming a Thought Leader By the fifth year, I aspire to hold a senior data science position, where I’ll be responsible for strategic decision-making using data. At this point, I want to be recognized as an expert in the Fintech industry, known for using data to drive financial innovation. I will have overcome challenges such as staying updated with rapidly changing technology and gaining sufficient experience to take on leadership roles. Milestones like publishing papers, speaking at conferences, or even launching my own data-focused initiatives will mark my success. Peter took us on a journey through, Tableau Public, and bar charts. On Tableau, you can also represent data as discrete or continuous. We looked at filtering data in Tableau. We discussed THE ART OF ASKING QUESTIONS as it relates to data science and our daily lives. We also had an introduction to filtering data in Tableau. Learning the art of asking questions is crucial for development in the tech space. In Tableau You have to filter your data, you can’t use data in a vacuum. A reading suggestion is Charles Wheelan — Naked Statistics, Stripping the Dread from the Data (2013) as part of our knowledge base for filtering data. We looked at “Where Wealth is Concentrated in Africa” on Statista and got insights from the article on wealth distribution, from millionaires to centi-millionaires to billionaires. We also looked at Henley & Partners - The Firm of Global Citizens® Africa's wealth report, we also looked at their list of contributors. One person of interest in the list was Subomi Plumptre. She is a Co-Founder of Volition Blue LLC (US), Subomi Plumptre Trust Inc, and Volition Capital Investments (Nigeria), championing the financial prosperity of the African and diaspora middle class. She is a Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Goalkeeper, a Bellagio Resident, and an Acumen Fellowship Candidate. My takeaway from this meeting is - Asking questions makes you take away root solutions and not assumptions from a scene. - Massive opportunities exist in the interpretation of data. - The biggest and most successful businesses in the coming years have leveraged on data in their respective sectors. We looked at : - Tree Maps - labels - Filters - Quick Table Calculations - Pie Charts - Circle Charts - Area Charts - Jittering While looking at the above in Tableau, we talked about the massive features in Tableau from real-time dashboards and stories, to the Tableau pulse and all their benefits. It is also a tool that’s loved by C-level members for its intuitiveness and AI features. My takeaway from this meeting is - Average is generally applied in tableau to get a sense of part to whole - Aggregated fields help Tableau to make some assumptions. - we can use several shape forms on our jitter chart - Average reference line can be across cell or table - Labels help the mind to easily interpret and hold onto the message on a reference line. May 26,2024 I learnt a new thing… I joined Mirian Nwoke, ACIPM, MBA event on Data Quality and I must say, amidst the jargons, I learnt a lot about the topic. Prior to then, I’d heard Data Governance flying about and didn’t know much about it, never looked it up though, but after yesterday, my curiosity is awaken. Data Governance is the set of rules and guidelines that help an organization manage its data efficiently. It’s important to ensure data quality, security and regulatory compliance, and aids decision making. It’s a relatively new topic making the rounds today, but a very IMPORTANT thing to be considered! On day 10 of the Analytics Extra Mentorship Programme with mentor Adewale Yusuf (MVP, MCSA, MCDA, MCT), I had the pleasure of learning from Bolaji Olatunde on the topic "Creating Visualizations and Reports in Power BI." We covered key areas, including the importance and focus of data visualization, understanding that it's not just about Power BI but about delivering insights effectively. I had the honour of taking part in a thought-provoking professional training session with Prof.Kemi Ogunyemi that covered the profound art of 'Coaching and Mentoring' at my workplace. The training was not only educational but also life-changing, providing insightful knowledge on mentoring and inspiring others in the workplace. Prof. Kemi's knowledge and experience provided light on how to develop effective mentoring relationships and hone coaching techniques, which laid the groundwork for significant advancements in both personal and professional spheres. It was a collaborative group learning which I gained valuable insights. Firstly, She defined Mentoring as a developmental relationship with more experienced person and a less experienced (usually younger) protégé. Originally derived from a character in Homer's Odyssey, one who guides a person through a difficult time. Mentors (unlike coaches) are usually experts within a particular field. How is it different from Coaching? A mentor is someone who shares their knowledge, skills and/or experience to help another to develop and grow. A Coach is someone who provides guidance to a client on their goals and help them reach their full potential. For instance, a mentor will point out what he or she thinks a mentee could have done better, while a coach will ask the individual what he or she could improve on and how to make that happen. Why mentor or be mentored? * Training alone is inadequate. Mentors (and coaches) draw out rather than put in, develop rather than impose, reflect rather than direct, do a continuous engagement rather than one-time and facilitate change. * Modern organisations are complex. * An organisation is as good as its employees thus, high performance is key. What should you expect from a mentor? A mentor is expected to: * Sincere desire to improve. * Career growth. * Performance enhancement. * Implementation of agreed action plans. * Personal progress-growth in self reliance. What should you expect from a mentee? A mentee is expected to: * Help and empathy, non-judgemental listening. * Personal development. * Performance enhancement. * Career Management etc. The Ground rules/Success factors to mentoring and coaching: * Punctuality. * Respect. * Trust and confidentiality. * Relationship boundaries * Realistic Expectations. First Meeting: Here, Introduction is done, ground rules/agreement are mapped out. Periodicity and Action plan. Build rapport, set objectives ( the why), discuss, wind-up/close. Followed by cultivation/growth: For success to be recorded, there must be growth. Maturity and sometimes redefinition. Positive outcomes resulting from the practice of mentoring: Long term career planning Enhanced Communication Positive Environment Management support Risk-free environment. Grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow alongside esteemed colleagues under her guidance.

It was a deep dive into understanding emotions and the role they play in our personal and professional lives. ✨ Key Takeaways: - Ranges of Emotion: We explored the wide spectrum of emotions we experience and how each plays a role in shaping our behavior and decision-making. - Importance of Emotion: Emotions are powerful; they drive our actions, influence relationships, and impact productivity. Understanding this is crucial in becoming more emotionally intelligent. - Practicing Emotional Intelligence: Mrs. Akinyemi emphasized the importance of consistently practicing emotional intelligence skills.
