- Founded my own company focused on catalysing patient-partnered initiatives & transforming healthcare
- Co-founded Women in Global Health [Lusophone Community]
- Helped establish - and eventually became the CEO of - the World Hepatitis Alliance (WHA), an international umbrella organisation composed of 300+ groups in over 95 countries. In less than 10 years, WHA became the reference for viral hepatitis and patient advocacy; it was integral to the adoption of 3 WHO resolutions and now viral hepatitis features in the SDGs agenda, with a clear goal of elimination by 2030;
- Started a global movement and was recognised as a change-maker by the Economist Intelligence Unit in 2017;
-Acted as a sector leader in global health and human rights discussions, speaking to audiences of 10,000+ people and giving interviews to the media in different languages: Sky News, Al Jazeera, Brazilian and Peruvian press, etc.;
-Delivered two World Hepatitis Summits in partnership with WHO and the governments of Scotland and Brazil (the Summit is a high profile, £1.7m global event held biannually and aimed at bringing policy makers and patient groups together to advance the hepatitis agenda);
- Coached the Global Sepsis Alliance on how to successfully advocate for a WHO resolution (pro-bono). The Sepsis resolution got ratified in 2017;
- Awarded seven university scholarships by the age of 20.

      2. Providing global leadership in advocating for a higher profile and priority for viral hepatitis
      3. Raising awareness, particularly through World Hepatitis Day and Nohep, our global elimination movement
      4. Working with the World Health Organization, their regional offices and other key partners to support governments in combating viral hepatitis
      5. Working directly with governments to help them establish/implement effective national strategies
      6. Supporting national hepatitis NGOs with capacity & capability building
      7. Reducing the stigma & discrimination associated with chronic viral hepatitis by improving education
      8. Fighting for access to testing, treatment and care for all (ensuring no group is left behind; children, indigenous communities, prisoners, IDUs, migrants etc.)
      9. Working with key stakeholders in the area of access to diagnostics, vaccines and new therapies
