PwC UK 2024 IFRS 17 post implementation and finance transformation survey is now live. EY Global Alert 🇰🇼🇦🇪 Kuwait-UAE Tax Treaty is considered the first Treaty in which Kuwait includes Article specifically addressing fees for techincal services. From my perspective, this inclusion marks an important shift in Kuwait’s international tax policy approach, reflecting a broader trend toward allocating more source-based taxation rights to Kuwait.

E-invoicing solution is gradually gaining momentum across the world. The FIRS also announced plans to introduce an e-invoicing system in Nigeria some months ago to strengthen compliance. Here is the UAE also doing something similar. The big picture is interesting. However, tax authorities and businesses alike must consider how it will be implemented in such a way that minimizes disruptions to businesses and does not layer additional unreasonable technology costs. Like many projects in Nigeria, the ideation is always superb. It is value adding implementation that is always the challenge.
