To achieve the Gold Award one needs to partake in a "Residential Project" which is a project of your choosing that can take various forms. I chose to volunteer at two schools in San Salvador de Jujuy, Argentina and teach English classes and cook for these students. The first school is where I taught High School students English and the second school (in a more rural part of the city) I helped 1st-3rd graders with basic academics and cooked them food for breakfast and lunch.

The conflict in Yemen has affected millions of children and more than 16 million people in Yemen cannot access safe water. There has been over 1 million suspected cases of Acute Watery Diarrhoea and cholera, with a quarter of these cases being children under 5. The devastating war in Syria enters it's 9th year with more children than ever before devastated by the conflict. They face violence, disease, hunger and the chaos of war.
In Yemen alone Unicef has helped reached more than 4 million children with life-saving aid; and delivered around 7,000 tonnes of nutrition supplies for severely malnourished children.
