“James has been an engaged and active member of the Student Houses JCR committee at the University of Bristol this year. James has worked with other committee members to improve the student experience in their halls, for example by successfully organising a charity ball, which earned over £1000 for charities such as Teenage Cancer Trust and Guide Dogs for the Blind. James also helped to manage a social budget of over £30,000. The JCR committee role requires teamwork, initiative and collaboration with multiple stakeholders including university staff, the Students’ Union and external providers. ”
