Working with sales team implemented a workflow solution for sales teams to attain management approval for special pricing with customers, updating SAP pricing. Reduced error of sales order creation by 90%, improving customer satisfaction and improving operational efficiency (3 FTE).

Reduced debit memo creation by automation from electronic bank posting. Reduced 2 FTE in credit control and improved debit memo resolution.

As part of the IT strategy, overhauled the entire desktop estate implementing a Citrix VDI solution. Reduced application sprawl from 5000 applications to 80, saving time and cost. Enabled business users to work on any electronic device, home working, office 2010. Responsible for project financials circ £3m. Delivered on time and budget.

Enhanced online customer experience to purchase digital publications, including the promotion of cross selling and upselling. Increased sales by 15%.

Implemented new enterprise architecture function, defining and aligning logical and physical architecture state and associated IT platforms to project roadmaps. Working with Group Board, defined IT strategy focused on delivering and realising business outcomes whilst reducing costs through rationalisation and commoditisation. Defined future IT operating model, financial projections and target architecture.

Representing UK in collaboration with European IT managers project managed Global Chart of Accounts Implementation on ERP. Re-implemented cost allocation (CO) with management accounts to attain true product and customer profitability improving decision making.

Project Governance: Implemented formal project management stage gate methodology enabling project sponsors simple, clear and easy understanding of scope, cost and status of projects. Sought enactment of PMO which was agreed and implemented by COO.

Defined, tested and implemented with logistics supplier an integrated SAP warehousing solution reducing stock-outs and long term stock.

Defined and wrote business case to upgrade SAP aligned to future IT strategy. Succesfully upgraded application and also gave functionality benefits for customer relations by implementing a new customer interaction solution, ensuring alignment to the "Single View of the Customer" programme.

As part of the senior IT management team lead the application deployment migrating from legacy SAP infrastructure over to a new hosting partner, improving performance and reliability.
