As Glastonbury festival gets underway, our new research reveals that 70% of people who have bought a tent admit they have used it just once. According to estimates, about 250,000 tents made of polymer-based nylon or polyester are abandoned annually, leading to the creation of 'tent trash' fields and contributing to 900 tonnes of waste. Earlier this week I mentioned how crucial optimised packaging is for supply chain strategies. That said, not just any packaging will do… Packaging has faced a lot of criticism for contributing to pollution and waste - especially when it comes to single-use and non-recyclable materials. With waste levels expected to rise much faster than the population by 2050… 🌏 Focusing on sustainable packaging solutions is essential. Simple question… What do you expect from a good supplier? From reliability to great production capabilities - A good supplier should prioritise meeting customer requirements. As a business, how do you identify the ideal supplier for your needs? ➡ Ensure they offer solutions tailored specifically to your brand's requirements. ➡ Trust and reliability are important, so ensure the communication is top form. ➡ If they can demonstrate improvements in efficiency and cost savings through their solutions… Then you’re onto a winner 🎉 And if they don’t come through with the results?
