🚨 Customer Alert: Issues with Arnold Clark - Stoke on Trent Branch 🚨 I want to share a concerning experience my brother had with Arnold Clark to raise awareness and caution potential buyers. On May 23, 2024, my brother purchased a 2018 Mercedes A-Class 180d SE from Arnold Clark in Stoke on Trent. Unfortunately, just a day after purchase, numerous issues surfaced: 1. SOS Sensor Faulty 2. Dynamic Switch Faulty 3. Anti Roll Bar Link Issues He reported these problems to Arnold Clark on May 25, 2024, and opted to take the car to Mercedes for an inspection. An appointment was scheduled for June 26, 2024. Post inspection, Mercedes confirmed the faults mentioned. Upon contacting Arnold Clark to reject the vehicle given the substantial cost of £17,000, the branch manager insisted on inspecting the car first. He handed the car over on June 28, 2024, at 11:15 AM. After a 72-hour inspection, the manager unjustly blamed my brother for a modification (a wrap on the center console), claiming it caused the faults. It's crucial to note: - The issues were reported on May 25, and the modification was done post-report. - The car was delivered in poor condition: dirty, no floor mats, and a damaged windscreen which they claimed to have repaired, yet the damage worsened. I urge everyone to be cautious and thoroughly inspect vehicles and documentation when dealing with Arnold Clark. BIG EVs CAN'T BE EFFICIENT. So how does Hyundai Motor UK Ioniq 5 manage to do it? A phenomenal efficiency from such a big car, 5mpkwh. This would take it over 270miles to a single charge well above WLTP, bear in mind this is the standard range 58kWh model. This also wasn't hypermiling this was in the hilly Brecon Beacons with the A/C in use. #efficiency #evs #WLTP
