I can’t believe it was only a week ago on world tourism day that I was celebrating a huge win for Evan Tillett and his formidable team for not only hosting the inaugural World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards in Belize Tourism Board but for winning the World’s Leading Sustainable Destination for 2024. The original World Travel Awards trophy was cast in Bronze by Royal Jewellers Asprey. 31 years later, after 18 months of planning we have received the prototype of the same award, this time 3D printed from recycled plastic, powered by renewable solar energy. We look forward to them being awarded to the 21 deserved winners of the inaugural World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards on 27th September, in beautiful Belize, the most fitting Official Host Destination.
