Last month, my husband was diagnosed with Prostate cancer; when we received the news, he was referred to several charities that offer help and support for people who have been diagnosed with cancer. He spent the first week reading loads on the Prostate Cancer UK website, and instead of feeling sorry for himself, he wanted to raise more awareness, so he decided to sign himself up for the October challenge of walking 5km a day for the whole month! He has done incredible!!!! I couldn't let him do this alone, so I arranged two bake sales at our daughter's football club, and what a success they were!! I contacted loads of local companies, and they donated vouchers to our raffle; a special thanks to my employer, Warwick Estates, for all their support the raffle donation of the Amazon voucher and the big bonus I used my charity day allowance. He has raised over 3.3k so far for this incredible charity and he still has a few more days to go!! if you would like to donate, the link is below https://lnkd.in/exetSfgb

Property management isn't always straightforward, especially when unexpected changes come up. Recently, we had the chance to help someone whose agent suddenly announced they were shutting down, leaving them in a bit of a bind. Ronnie, who works in our New Business team, took the time to chat with them, really understand their situation, and put together a proposal that fit their needs. With a tight handover deadline, Ronnie and the team made sure everything would be in place smoothly before November! It’s incredibly rewarding to know we’ve made the process easier for someone. The heartfelt appreciation we received, including a kind Trust Pilot review for Ronnie, truly reflects our commitment to exceptional service.

🎗Supporting Breast Cancer Awareness month at Warwick Estates🎗 Today we are fundraising for breast cancer awareness month, planned by our very special Ellen Fordham. Here are a few words from the wonderful woman herself: ‘As many of you know, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in January 2023. A week after discovering a lump, I was diagnosed on the same day I underwent investigations, and since then, I have been on a journey and hit the ground running, with a huge amount of support from the NHS. I’ve come such a long way since the diagnosis. Though I am now cancer free 20 + months later, I’m still very much being looked after by the cancer team and receiving treatment to help me stay healthy for as long as possible. Breast cancer awareness is everywhere - posters, TV, Radio, and I whilst I would donate occasionally, I never truly appreciated just how far the treatment has come along until I experienced it firsthand, and it’s made me realise how important these charities are. Without funding, these amazing new treatments wouldn’t be available today, and I probably wouldn’t even be here now with the same diagnosis 10 years ago. All money raised for this charity is going to good use and making a huge difference to so many lives. Even a stage 4 diagnosis isn’t always a death sentence now.’ We got every one involved by putting their baking skills to the test, encouraging everyone to wear something pink, and the best of all, challenging the men to wear a bra for the day, with a donation promised for each one who did! Ellen's fundraiser has already reached an incredible £1250, and we've included the link here for anyone who'd like to contribute: https://lnkd.in/e2KKC7iF Ellen, on behalf of everyone at Warwick, you’re truly an inspiration. We’re all so proud of you and thrilled to support you and this incredible charity today!💗 #breastcancerawareness

As England make it to the semis of the euros, I thought it would be a good time to assess our half year progression: ✅ Launched apprenticeship scheme to invest in our people ✅ Promoted 8 staff into new roles ✅ Created a new team to support PM’s ✅ Achieved our biggest new business onboarding year since 2019. (It’s only July!!) ✅ Started a new out of hours partnership They are a few just snippets. Amongst the positivity though are negatives of course, or this would be fake news! The stand out for me is watching 3 fantastic PM’s decide not just to leave Warwick, but this industry completely. Customer demands continue to increase as does the complexity of our jobs in general. That’s why sometimes you have to make tough decisions that are ultimately positive: ✅ Resigned from 3 bad customers! Yes they do exist! Despite all the hard work we put in, sometimes you just have to know what’s best for the teams well being and take away the drain. Q3 & 4 promises further exciting times, as we continue on our mission of change. (Sorry Kier, I am nicking your lines 😉)

As an un-loud person, this quote resonates with me so much. I'm so grateful to be in a work environment where doing a good job without having to be the loudest in the room is recognised and respected. The fact that we are growing our business on that basis too makes me incredibly proud!! Thank you Warwick Estates Property Management Ltd

"In whatever final form the Leasehold and Freehold Reform Bill takes, probably in 2025, it will bring about positive change for customers albeit with a matching price tag as we have seen with the Building Safety Act." We penned this article on 13 May 2024 ahead of the News on the Block 21st Anniversary issue (published earlier in June) so it just goes to show how much can change in a short space of time! We were expecting an Autumn election at that point. The rest of the sentence still definitely holds true though. Sticking to 600 words is actually quite tricky....and that's not just because I'm a lawyer! At Warwick Estates Property Management Ltd we're already preparing for the changes that are coming which will only help to drive up standards, although, we will have to wait for statutory regulation.
