About us
Our purpose is to help the world’s energy transition through wind power. As the world decarbonises, demand for renewable energy, especially wind power, is soaring. In response, the scale and sophistication of renewable energy projects is increasing. Yet, the wind services market is highly fragmented, with many experienced but small thinly capitalised players needing support to grow and respond to expected demand. Venterra is building a best-in-class services company to meet this demand. We are acquiring and integrating select companies in the sector, adding our management expertise and capital to fuel expansion. Asset-light and technology driven, with a truly collaborative culture, Venterra is helping its Group companies scale rapidly.

👌 We are proud to highlight the exceptional work by the Venterra Group Geoscience team and our UXO specialists on the Ostsee Anbindungsleitung (OAL) subsea pipeline. The team's key role in providing UXO risk management services helped fast-track this 50-km project with a completed timeline down from the typical 5-6 years to an incredible 17 months! 👏 Our team's comprehensive UXO desk-based study and risk assessment were crucial in securing ALARP certification, ensuring safe execution, and earning high praise from our partners, StreamTec Solutions AG and GASCADE Gastransport GmbH. This project not only highlights our teams' expertise but also their agility in handling complex, high-stakes infrastructure. Well done, Team Geoscience! And on the third day... The influx continued to the Venterra team. It’s been an eventful day with no let up with critical discussions into the future of offshore wind in emerging markets. Highlights today included: 🌍 Creating Offshore Wind Opportunities in Emerging Markets Our EVP of Engineering Paul Doherty, PhD., facilitated a highly engaging panel that explored the opportunities to deliver offshore wind in emerging markets and focused on the importance of learning from established markets while addressing challenges such as grid infrastructure, market access, consenting pathways, and supply chain uncertainties. With expert contributions from Peter Donnelly (Invest Northern Ireland) and Michael Humphreys (Western Power), the session sparked insightful conversations about nascent markets like Northern Ireland and others. 💡 GWEC's Thought Leader Session: Challenges in Emerging Markets - New Frontiers: Later in the day, Paul Doherty returned to moderate another thought-provoking session on some of the hurdles emerging offshore wind markets are facing. Industry leaders, including Benoit Moreaux (GWEC), James-Augustine Foley (Santander), Peter Lefroy (RWE), Philipp-Nikolas Otto (ENBW), and Hanh Bui Vestas Vietnam), shared their expertise on navigating the complex regulatory and technical landscapes of offshore wind. 📍 Key takeaway? The global wind industry is moving fast, and the potential for emerging markets is massive, but collaboration, innovation, and addressing critical infrastructure challenges are key to unlocking that potential. 🇩🇪 Hamburg, du warst großartig #WindEnergyHamburg #OffshoreWind #Venterra #HelpingWindPowerGrow

🌏 Offshore wind is gaining momentum worldwide, and South Korea is emerging as a key player. To build a successful offshore wind market, countries must focus on four key pillars: a route to market, grid infrastructure, environmental consenting, and a scalable supply chain. South Korea is well-positioned to meet these needs, thanks to its established shipbuilding industry and recent political commitment to renewable energy. 🌊 With the launch of the offshore wind auction roadmap by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, offering up to 8 GW of capacity by 2026, the market is set for significant growth. Venterra has taken steps to support this by establishing a local presence, leveraging our expertise to help navigate the challenges and opportunities of this promising market.
