ONLY TWO WEEKS TO GO before our next #SJCCircle on Working Class Justice in the Charity Sector! Today I want to give a shout out to our fabulous Keynote speaker, Ruth Ibegbuna. Ruth is a UK social entrepreneur, changemaker and serial founder of awesome organisations, including: RECLAIM, a Manchester-based charity supporting working-class young people into leadership positions The Roots Programme, which is designed to bring those from vastly different communities together to connect across divides, embrace difference and to increase levels of compassion for others. The programme also supports state and private school pupils to meet, connect and build a more hopeful UK future. Northern Soul C.I.C. that provides training, development and support to those seeking greater levels of social justice. ReKindle School,  a supplementary school supporting young critical thinkers from working-class communities. Ruth is a Clore Social Fellow and an Ashoka UK Fellow and was listed in The Sunday Times as one of the 500 most influential people in the UK. She was also listed by Virgin as one of the top six female changemakers internationally. Ruth is also a writer and motivational speaker. Basically, she is amazing and we are SO honoured to welcome her to the next SJC Circle and we hope to see you there! In February we came together at the #SJCCircle to hear from the wonderful folks at Gendered Intelligence talk about some of the key issues the Trans community face. We discussed ways in which organisations can actively become more trans inclusive. Some of these top tips included: 📝 Inclusive policies and procedures that are actively implemented 📚 Educating staff and allowing them to ask questions 🤝Establishing and supporting LGBT+ groups ⭐ Visible inclusion and regular positive messages Thank you Gendered Intelligence for this incredibly helpful session!
