    The power of a phone call…📞 “Speaking to people on the phone is where I really found my rhythm; I always think of it as I would rather gauge someone’s tone than just sending them an email which can be harder to convey emotion…” Meet, Faye Joyce, a top performer at PitchBook who has worked her way through the ranks from inbound SDR to outbound BDA and most recently taking on the Team Lead role 🙌 “I was looking for a more fast-paced working environment, and Saas offered just that with a clearly defined pathway for progression and autonomy over work” With support from the team at PitchBook and hard work, Faye made the move into management most recently 🚀 “Being surrounded by like minded people who share the same goals is so motivating whilst making it a fun environment where you are able to celebrate those successes” What’s your advice for being a top performer? 🏆 “Collaboration is key; collaborating across teams & with senior reps.     “I want to create a high performing culture that can be seen as an individual’s career high point” 🙌 Richard Hall, Regional VP, EMEA Enterprise at Contentful sat down with us to chat more about his advice for getting into leadership, being a high performer & looking to the future 🚀 After a career in sales and leadership in commercial printing, Richard moved into the Saas space, starting as an AE. Being his first experience in Saas, he found it truly eye opening with the variety of opportunities and paths  on offer, selling a wide range of products to a wide range of businesses After building EMEA wide commercial sales teams, Richard joined the Contentful team in 2021, building the UK team, quickly growing to support Southern & Northern Europe, and now more broadly EMEA as the Regional VP of EMEA Enterprise Richard’s advice for getting into sales leadership? 👀 “First and foremost you must be a high performing sales person to be a successful sales leader. Show up as a leader; be the person people already look to as a leader. Learn, read, get a coach; really understand what leadership is.” “I’ve coached different people from AE’s to Regional Sales Director. All incredibly hard working; some really strategic in building big deals, others absolutely hustling to always deliver their number.  All high performers, showing up as leaders before formerly having the leadership title, so found their way to being leaders.” Advice for being a high performing sales person? 🔥 “Working hard, showing grit and determination, having an ‘always be building pipeline’ mentality.  Alongside this, learn the space, the art and science of sales and maintain a positive growth mindset.” Looking to the future, Richard hopes to continue to create a supportive culture of high performance, where the team is encouraged to do great things, hold each other accountable and have fun.
