I had the best day at last week's 56˚ North Business Day at Scottish National Party (SNP) Conference. Scotland's businesses sent a strong message about their commitment to working together to deliver jobs and growth by tackling the needs of people and the planet. Thanks to all our amazing speakers for making it such a fantastic day. Prosper members understand that when it comes to the economy, we all have something to bring to the party - workers, businesses, government, academia and our communities.

We were delighted last week to be joined by Derek Brown , Chief Executive of Highland Council and over 60 Prosper members for our influencer lunch at the Highland Coast Hotels Lochardil House Hotel As Derek reflected on his first year in office and the role of leading council delivery of services across the largest geography of any local authority in the UK. Members were encouraged to work together to realise the ambitions and opportunities that the region has in front of us. It will be innovation through a collaborative approach between public, private and third sector that will drive prosperity to our people and places and Prosper members will have a huge role to play. Thank you to Guy Lindsay Crawford and the team for being our hosts and serving up a fantastic lunch. David Eglinton from Story + Stage for taking care of our AV on the day, and of course all our members who took the time to join us.
