🏡 How long does it take to charge an EV at home? Well, it can be anywhere between 30 mins to over 12 hours, but it really depends on a few factors, including: 🪫 How much charge the battery has and how much you want to charge it by (for example, it takes longer to charge from 0-100% than 50%-100%), and its total capacity, as larger batteries take longer to fully charge ⚡ The maximum charging rate of the car and the charger. After all, a 3.6kW charger takes longer to top-up a car’s battery than a 7kW or 22kW+ charger. Some cars also restrict charging speeds to 22kW, whereas others can charge at much faster rates. ☀️ The weather, as both extreme heat and colder temperatures can slow charging times (especially if you want to preheat or cooldown the cabin before driving) How long does it take your EV to charge? 🌎 🧠 "There are lots of physical health impacts of traffic pollution...but people are surprised when they hear about how mental health can also get severely impacted.” Can embracing the shift to quieter and greener mobility through electric vehicles lead to cleaner air and clearer minds? In a recent study, BBC Earth found that poor air quality and noise pollution don’t just impact us physically, but that they can also negatively affect our mental health. According to their research, electric vehicles offer a noise and emission-reducing solution for urban areas that could even lead to “a population-level enhancement in our health.” Essentially, driving and owning an EV is good for you.
