🌟 Breaking Barriers: Rethinking How We Hire Mothers-to-Be 🌟 We’re thrilled to share Associate Partner, Gemma McDonald’s brand new chapter from our #ConsciousLeadership series, on how organisations can better support female executives planning families. Gemma highlights the struggles many accomplished female leaders face when balancing career ambitions with starting a family. Her insights call for a much-needed shift: organisations must empower and support these women, rather than allowing outdated biases to limit their potential. This is a must-read for anyone committed to building more inclusive, diverse leadership teams, as well as for those who fear having children may impact their future career development. Head of Page Executive Germany & Austria

Dear Network, My colleague, Daniel Knott, Associate Partner Technology and myself, had the honor to actively participate at FidAR Frauen in die Aufsichtsräte e.V. Barcamp in Essen. My personal opinion: great event, very useful concept for networking and last but not least, exceptionally inspiring participants! The session we held, was built around our global Talent & Trend Survey which PageGroup carries out yearly and is based on over 50.000 responses from leaders, employees and job seekers. We highlighted the main findings of this survey, including some tips and tricks from our side, how to close the bridge between expectations of employees versus employers on the topics Salaries, Flexibility and Artificial Intelligence. Afterwards, we entered a very exciting discussion on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. We could clearly see, that the majority of us is experiencing the same challenges.   1) Creating/maintaining an inclusive company culture, whilst offering flexibility, work-life balance and hybrid working models. Moreover, this is getting more complicated with the presence of now 5(!!!) generations on the work floor: baby boomers, generation X, Y, Z and Alpha. My favorite quotes and take-aways on this topic from our audience: - “We should talk about Life Balance, not Work Life Balance” - Retention is the wrong question here (we would like to refer to Steve Cadigan here for some further interesting insights) - On site presence should have an added value and the requirements of management have drastically changed (strong leaders should not lose sight of employees´ personal backgrounds) - “Work has left the Building” - A strong digital company culture is key to maintain the above in balance   The second main topic we discussed, is whether Recruitment Companies or Headhunters are the right gatekeepers for DEI? To be honest, reality is still quite shocking! Some findings I would like to share with you: - Different Budgets for the same position in function of gender in the year 2024 apparently sometimes still exist; are you kidding me?!) - Diversity Strategy is more than just simply managing Quotes: it´s about setting the right preferences and defining decision criteria - We need soft Factors and we need qualitative reportings: ESG and S from Social - It´s about cultural add, not only about cultural fit   At PageGroup we take DEI very seriously. My team is continuously being trained on these topics and we try to replicate our values within the recruitment processes of our clients. For us, partnerships with for instance FidAR Frauen in die Aufsichtsräte e.V. and SHEconomy - Die Wirtschaftsplattform für Frauen. 365 Tage im Jahr. are vital. Thank you Fidar and Sheconomy for our great collaboration so far!   Proud to state with a conscious mind, that Page Executive is definitely the right gatekeeper and happy to help with your future executive recruitment needs! #DEI #ExecutiveRecruitment #FemaleLeadership
