You know what more companies need? Mascots. This is “Mr Colada” from my local towns Pina Colada festival and I think he’s great. My top 5 company mascots : 5. Wenlock and Mandeville from the London 2012 Olympic Games - some would say they were a bit too much like eldritch nightmare fuel to be promoting a sporting event but they get a big thumbs up from me. Not entirely sure what they are or what they represent but I’d go for a pint with them. 4. Elon Musk - x or Twitter and Tesla and rockets or something - whoever had the idea to create a sort of Bond villain parody and wheel him out to occasionally annihilate their stocks is a satirical genius and I doff my cap to them. Hilarious self-effacing satire at the highest level, bravo. 3. Maz - Mazuma Mobile - (disclaimer : I do occasionally do artworking for them but he’s still objectively brilliant) I actually love this guy, whoever was asked to design a mascot for this company had their work cut out for them but nailed the brief, it’s hard to make a phone into a loveable mascot but here we are. 2. Mr Colada - Northwich Pina Colada Festival - I think the picture says it all (the dog was a lot less impressed). I waited for a good 35 minutes to see him at my local towns parade recently and he did not disappoint. 1. Mr Tayto - Tayto Group Limited - simply the greatest of all time. My wife naturally favours Northern Irish Mr Tayto but either is a clear winner in my books.
