It's an exciting time to see stylized CGI becoming a driving force in the world of animation! Films like *Into the Spiderverse*, *The Mitchells vs. The Machines*, and the recent *Wild Robot* are breaking boundaries, showing that CGI doesn't have to be hyper-realistic to tell compelling, visually stunning stories. Having worked in stylized CGI for over a decade, it's great to see this artistic approach getting its moment in the spotlight. My award-winning short film, *Stopover* (which was made in 2012!), was ahead of its time, exploring this style long before it became mainstream. It’s incredibly reassuring to see that my vision and gut feeling for this 3D style were on the mark. I look forward to continuing to work in this style and pushing creative boundaries.
