Wow, what a WrapUp! Through October and into November we have been wrapping up Manchester, London and Berlin! Working with charity partners across all three locations, 80 volunteers worked over 184 hours to promote the campaign and to collect and sort nearly 850 coats and jackets (plus hundreds of hats, gloves, scarves and jumpers!) that will help vulnerable people keep warm this winter. We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who got involved, and everyone who generously donated coats. None of this would be possible without the support of our many volunteers from gunnercooke and gunnercooke Operating Partners across the UK and gunnercooke Germany. We would also like to thank Recann, SunStone HR and AXI for volunteering their time in Manchester as well as the local businesses (like Colliers) who organised office collections! WrapUp Berlin 2024 – ein voller Erfolg im zweiten Jahr der Sammelaktion! Letzte Woche verbrachten unsere engagierten freiwilligen Helfer drei Tage am Berliner Hauptbahnhof, um warme Winterjacken zu sammeln und damit in der diesjährigen Kältesaison wieder ein wenig Wärme zu schenken. Wir möchten uns von Herzen für die zahlreichen Spenden bedanken – ihr habt all unsere Erwartungen für das zweite Jahr dieser Initiative weit übertroffen! Insgesamt konnten wir 13 prall gefüllte Säcke und vier große Kartons mit knapp 150 warmen Winterjacken in allen Größen sowie rund 100 weiteren Winterkleidungsstücken einsammeln. Wir blicken schon jetzt voller Vorfreude auf ein noch größeres WrapUp Berlin 2025 – wie viele Jacken können wir gemeinsam nächstes Jahr sammeln? Ein ganz besonderes Dankeschön gilt dem Café Einstein im Hauptbahnhof, das unsere Helfer mit köstlichem Kaffee warmgehalten hat, sowie Sebastian Oys vom Rotary Club Berlin Platz der Republik, der das Projekt mit großem Einsatz vorangetrieben hat! Another successful WrapUp Berlin! Our friends in Germany collected just under 150 warm, pre-loved coats between the 5th and 7th of November, at Berlin Hauptbahnof (Central Station). 🙏Danke an alle hilfsbereiten Berliner*innen 🐻❤️ 🧥 WRAP UP BERLIN: Nach drei Säcken voll Jacken im letzten Jahr, haben wir dieses Jahr 13 Säcke gefüllt - drei mehr als angestrebt 🥰 Dank des gemeinsamen Engagements von gunnercooke Germany , BERLINER STADTMISSION Moabit hilft e.V. Stiftung Rotary Club Berlin Platz der Republik und Rotary Club Berlin Platz der Republik konnten wir am Berliner Hauptbahnhof 13 prall gefüllte Säcke und zusätzlich vier große Kartons mit Winterjacken sammeln.
