First look at Costiera 👀 The very first images of the international series starring Jesse Williams, produced by Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios and Lux Vide, have been revealed. Daniel De Luca (Williams), a former Marine with Italian roots, works in one of the most luxurious hotels in the world, located on the spectacular Positano coastline. He suddenly finds himself facing the disappearance of Alice, one of the hotel owner’s daughters. #Costiera spans six episodes and is directed by Emmy Award-winner Adam Bernstein and Giacomo Martelli. The New York Times has featured two volumes of Elena Ferrante's quartet of Neapolitan novels in their '100 Best Books of the 21st Century' list, with My Brilliant Friend landing the number one spot. 📚 The fourth and final novel in the quadrilogy, The Story of the Lost Child, places at number #80 in the list. We have secured a production deal with France Télévisions for the upcoming BBC commission and 72 Films (a Fremantle company) docuseries, Zelensky (w/t). The series provides an unfiltered look at the astounding transformation of Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky from comedian to one of the most recognised world leaders on the planet. The 72 Films crew combine in-depth interviews with Zelensky and his wife, First Lady Olena Zelenska, with immersive accounts from friends, family and political equals, transporting us inside a country under siege and examining the moral complexities of this defining chapter in world history. Al De Azpiazu, Senior Vice President Distribution, French Speaking Europe, Italy, Spain & Portugal at Fremantle said: “It is always a pleasure to be working with the talented teams at France Télévisions and our colleagues at 72 Films on another bold and compelling series. We have signed a major global development deal with multi-award winning production company Roughcut Television Ltd, creators of cult comedy shows Big Boys, Stath Lets Flats, and recent drama hit, Coma. 📣 The first look and drama development deal will see Fremantle become the primary home for Roughcut TV’s scripted drama projects. The news follows our recent collaboration with Roughcut on new psychological thriller Little Disasters for Paramount+, starring Diane Kruger and Jo Joyner. The series is a tense and compelling drama exploring friendship, motherhood, privilege and societal pressures between four female friends. Roughcut TV is one of the UK’s most prolific independent production companies and has a global reputation as a major scripted producer. Ash Atalla, CEO, Roughcut Television, said: “This Fremantle deal is a game changing moment for Roughcut as we accelerate our push into drama. Our goal is build fast and become one of a new generation of global drama suppliers. Fremantle India reaches a new milestone with its inaugural fiction series Bad Cop, claiming the #1 spot on Disney+ Hotstar’s Top 10 shows in India (Hindi).🚨 Within 24 hours of the series’ launch on 20 June 2024, the drama quickly became the number one Hindi series on the platform. #BadCop, reimagined by Fremantle India from RTL Group’s original German drama of the same name, has captivated audiences nationwide with its riveting storyline. Fremantle signs first-look deal with AlterEgo ✍️ The partnership will see us work closely with founders Stefano Sollima, Gina Gardini and Ludovico Purgatori to develop an exciting slate of original films and dramas. Sollima’s Adagio, which had its world premiere last year at the 80th Venice Film Festival, was their debut film and was produced in partnership with our team at The Apartment. Their latest project, Netflix drama Il Mostro, is currently in post-production and is directed by Stefano Sollima and produced by The Apartment Pictures. Andrea Scrosati, Group COO & CEO, Continental Europe, Fremantle, said: “I have had the immense privilege of working with Stefano for over 15 years, he is an incredible talent.
