July 1st was our 3rd anniversary of becoming an employee-owned organisation🥳, and we kicked started our 4th year with The Month of Us; a month-long campaign dedicated to our Partners and the positive evolution of our organisation⏩. Yesterday we ended our celebrations in true DJS style - with plenty of cake 🍰 (special mention to Rebecca Green with her Bake Off standard Coffee and Walnut cake – pure heaven) and a trip to the pub in the sunshine, perfect😎. Holiday season has one definite benefit when you work in an office...the random appearance of, often crazily-named, sweets and biscuits from far off places! 😋 This week's contender for best holiday treat is 'Vanilla Sticks' all the way from Malaysia✈️. Attending events and conferences can often be a solo affair for many reasons, but travel is definitely a key factor. So, when an insight packed day is happening right on your door-step (and your metaphorical door-step may simply be ‘the North’ as opposed to having to travel to the opposite end of the country!) you’d be mad not to show your support👍. That’s why a group of our partners from teams across DJS jumped at the chance to attend the Market Research Society (MRS) Best of of MRS Awards and Events in Manchester yesterday. There was a brilliant turn out, some fantastic speakers and audience participation levels on the right side of awkward 😉. All in all, a cracking day. Absolutely fantastic to see MRS events happening up North - and we’d love to see more please, as we for one, would support them whole heartedly!🤝 One of our team will be sharing their thoughts on the event in more detail soon but for now we’d just like to say a huge thanks to the MRS for organising such a thought provoking day and to the Co-op for hosting in their stunning HQ - which is also one of the greenest buildings in the world 💚.
