The Haute Joaillerie Sport Collection. Designed to enhance the freedom of the body and the elegance of movement, the Graphic Line necklace is adorned with a lacework of diamonds and a 10.15-carat cushion-cut sapphire, sourced from an exceptional set of five stones from Kashmir. The chevron motif and the gradation of 24.35 carats of baguette-cut rubies in pure, simple lines evoke rhythm and speed. Patrice Leguéreau, Director of the CHANEL Fine Jewelry Creation Studio, has taken on the challenge of making the reverse side of the necklace as beautiful as the front, displaying on the back the name of the House, a first in High Jewelry. Sophisticated and theatrical, the Fall-Winter 2024/25 Haute Couture collection presented by the Fashion Creation Studio mingles the worlds of the opera and of CHANEL Haute Couture. The volumes are diaphanous, the sleeves puffed, and the flounces pleated. Richly embroidered, the collection imbues the House codes with a romantic twist. A CHANEL suit revisited in burgundy tweed trimmed with white satin, a black corduroy tuxedo, a blouse with an embroidered plastron, and a fitted jacket embellished with black feathers, dance among long coats, voluminous capes and evening gowns. For the show, playwright, writer and director Christophe Honoré imagined a mise en scène in the corridors of the Palais Garnier, offering a renewed way to experience the opera. For the third consecutive year, the House of CHANEL is proud to support the “Miquel Barceló, océanographe” exhibition, a retrospective bringing together some sixty works by the Spanish artist. It will run at the Villa Paloma of the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco from June 7th to October 13th, 2024,. Artist, painter, sculptor and ceramist, Miquel Barceló has made the sea a central theme of his work, drawing inspiration from the caves of Mallorca, his native island, as well as from his travels and encounters on the African continent. The exhibition, which is part of the Principality's ongoing scientific and cultural research into oceanography, takes visitors on a journey from the origins of life to the artist's compositions. Through seascapes and still lifes inherited from the bodegón tradition, Miquel Barceló, océanographe » questions the expression of human presence since Antiquity. The retrospective follows on from the "Santo Sospir, Mauro Restiffe/Jean Cocteau" and "Christian Bérard, Excentrique Bébé" exhibitions.
