Over the last 6 weeks Annapurna has seen a 26% up tick in new mandates taken across the HR, Technology and GTM markets that we operate within internationally. This is a very positive sign. The market is still slow, but is building. Reviewing the roles coming to our teams, there seems to be a trend as either as a result of: 1. New senior leaders starting in role and building a new TOM for their function and recruiting for new hires. 2. Increasing resignations, and churn, with employees starting to look to move in the market. 2021 was a phenomenally busy year for transition 'post pandemic'. We are starting to see the start of the cycle of job movement after 3 years tenure coupled with increasing market confidence as leaders start to take new roles. Let's hope this trend continues, as there is still a significant number of excellent candidates looking to move into role from the open market. Especially in areas such as TA, Learning and Talent, and senior HR directors. 🙏

🌍🧠 It’s #WorldMentalHealthDay! 🧠🌍 At Annapurna, we work with some of the best HR talent across the UK, DACH regions, and the US. Each day, we see first-hand how much enthusiasm and effort HR professionals put into supporting the well-being of others, but today is a reminder to take time for yourselves too. With that said, it's important to remember that mental health affects all of us. Today is about recognising that everyone deserves the time and space to prioritise their mental well-being. While workplaces have come leaps and bounds in prioritising it, there's still much more to do when it comes to having open conversations and providing support for those who need it. Our recent interview with Lydia Charilaou, Founder of Labyrinth Consultants Limited, explores how to break down the stigma around 'taboo' topics and foster a culture where employees feel safe to speak openly about their feelings. Check out her insights on building safe and inclusive workplaces here - https://lnkd.in/e5j739jG If you or someone you know is struggling, Mind offers a great resource with support lines you can reach out to. Would you wait 48 years for a job application response? Well, that's how long Tizi Hodson had to wait to hear back from her 'dream job' application she made nearly five decades ago! Having her hopes set on becoming a motorcycle stunt rider, Tizi sent an application off in 1976 but never heard back. That is until she recently received a letter with an anonymous note explaining that it had got stuck behind a drawer in the post office. Despite not hearing back at the time, it didn't discourage Tizi from going on to become a snake handler and horse whisperer in Africa and mastering aerobatics as a pilot and flying instructor. Tizi's story is a great example of how important it is for applicants to receive feedback from an application, regardless of the outcome, but also how companies can miss out on great talent without a robust recruitment system in place. Responding to all applications: 👉 Keeps candidates engaged with your brand, even if they aren’t successful 👉 Reduces candidate frustrations and negative experiences, which can affect the company's reputation 👉 Helps foster a positive, long-term relationship that could lead to future hires or recommendations How important is it to you to receive feedback, good or bad, from a job application? Let us know your thoughts in the poll below.👇 Read Tizi's full story here - https://lnkd.in/gwA-kX4Y #Recruitment #Hiring #News

Is it ever okay to visit employees on sick leave? 🤧 Elon Musk-owned electric car company, Tesla, have caused somewhat of a stir-up in the HR world recently. Why? 🤨 Well, a director of their car plant in Germany sent managers to the homes of employees on long-term sick leave. Tesla defended their actions by insisting that the practice is both common in the industry and aimed at promoting a strong work ethic among staff. But trade union, IG Metall who represent over 12,000 employees at the Berlin factory says that a "culture of fear" is to blame for stress and sick leave among workers. Managing sick leave is important, but many believe tactics like home visits aren't ethical and won't work for long. Instead, they may reveal bigger problems in the company’s people strategy. Sick leave is meant to help employees recover so they can return to work at their best. Visiting them at home, even with good intentions, can make employees feel uncomfortable, delay their recovery, and lower engagement overall. To our HR audience - would you consider this approach in your organisation? Or does it create more harm than good? Let us know in the comments! 👇 Read more here - https://lnkd.in/ecv5fiCV #hr #tesla #sickleave
