That’s a wrap on Manchester Tech Festival, and what an exciting two weeks we’ve had! Last week, the Core Festival returned home to the historic Victoria Baths. We had a fantastic time, connecting with the tech community and hearing from industry leaders. Expert speakers spanned three stages and included our Director of Data, Andrew Morgan, on the Main Stage. Andrew shared some examples of how AI-led transformation is effecting change on a mass scale - while the need to remain mission-focused has never been more critical. On the Software Engineering Stage, Rob Mansfield, Head of Data at Accenture Next Gen Engineering, shared his advice for keeping pace with technological change and leveraging GenAI as part of the software development lifecycle. We’re thrilled to be back at Manchester Tech Festival this year for a jam-packed calendar of talks and panels. Yesterday’s AI Conference was an insightful deep dive into the current challenges and innovations in the area, prompting great discussions throughout the day. Our colleagues Andrew Morgan and Edward Jones showcased the wide-ranging applications of graph-based RAG with their live demonstration of AI queryable knowledge graphs. The afternoon was kicked off with a memorable session from our colleague Aldan Creo, who took us on a flight to the land of LLMs as he explored the power of knowledge graphs and AI.
