Exclusive Snowpiercer Final Season Sneak Peek: A Kidnapping Rocks Layton’s World
Snowpiercer‘s long-awaited fourth and final season will be pulling into the station in less than two weeks, and TVLine has an exclusive sneak peek at one of the events that set the dystopian drama’s farewell run in motion.
As you may recall, Snowpiercer‘s Season 3 finale left us with Melanie Cavill (played by Jennifer Connelly) leading the Eternal Engine and any passengers who chose to stay aboard Snowpiercer for relative safety, while Andre Layton (Daveed Diggs) led the others on Big Alice, choosing to adventure to the unknown world of “New Eden.”
In the Season 4 premiere, titled “Snakes in the Garden” and airing Sunday, July 21 at 9/8c on AMC (and streaming on AMC+), nine months have gone by since Snowpiercer and Big Alice parted ways. Among those who stuck with Melanie and Snowpiercer, Till and Ben encounter unforeseen enemies when they are sent on a reconnaissance mission.
Meanwhile in New Eden, Layton, Josie, Zarah and others face uncertain times and unknown adversaries. In the sneak peek above, a series of increasingly unsettling events are unfolding, including an unexpected appearance by Snowpiercer’s Miss Audrey, the sighting of a Sno-Cat, and the kidnapping of a very important important someone. Gosh I hope this is on AMC+ in all regions. There are some Acorn/AMC+ shows I’m still waiting for 2-3 years after release! It was on Netflix here and I wasn’t sure if the international distribution came with the rights or not, but there’s been no advertising on either. :(
