The CW on Thursday became the final broadcast network (after CBS, NBC, Fox and ABC) to unveil its schedule for the Fall TV season. What shows are on the move, where did new ones land, and what’s on hold until midseason?
◆ Off the air since June 2023, Superman & Lois will finally let fly with its fourth and final season on a new night, Thursdays, where it will lead into the reboot The Librarians: The Next Chapter.
◆ The fall’s only other scripted fare is bundled on Wednesdays: Season 2 of the acquired drama Sullivan’s Crossing, followed by Game of Thrones alum Sophie Turner’s jewel thief drama, Joan.
◆ Among unscripted fare, Monday for lack of a better term is “board game night,” and WWE NXT (formerly of USA Network) will continue to grapple with a Tuesday time slot.
◆ Yes, as detailed here (and below), more than a dozen shows are in limbo at the moment, including All American, Walker and Wild Cards.

“the reboot The Librarians: The Next Chapter.” it’s a continuation not a reboot!
Part of the CW’s problem here was having to firm up a schedule for the upfronts BEFORE CTV and CBC (and Global, potentially) have made public any of their renewals of all of the Canadian series the CW is now dependant on with the exception of SULLIVAN’S CROSSING. Inasmuch as the new CW financing model is dependant on at least a 50-50 funding with their Canadian partners, until the Canadaian networks agree on more seasons (and in a lot of these cases, they definitely will), they can’t say they’re bringing them back as co-productions. Plus, until they hear about new series on those networks, they can’t offer them as future options either. There are still some series of recent vintage–SKYMED, ROBYN HOOD, ALLEGIANCE, ONE MORE TRY–which the CW might have been considering. Wait a couple of weeks, and we could see some progress in some of these cases. Since Canadian series rarely exceed seasons of ten to thirteen episodes and nobody repeats much of anything if they can help it, it takes many of them to comprise a full season of program for the network.
Absolutely found myself loving Wild Cards. Watched it religiously. Hoping it gets a 2nd Season.
Without Wild Cards, F Boy or Lovers or Liars, I will not be near this network. This screwed up mess schedule is like putting Washington and Dallas Fans together. You guys may have made money out of your new sports channel deal but please take the NFL with it along with the wrestling ugh!
Do tell what happen to World’s Funniest Animals that’s a lot better than Whose line is it, SMH!
You guys must have been on some damn good drugs when you done this schedule and WB Thanks You for taking The Drama Wrestling
Bringing on anything new but no word on a great show, Wild Cards, is ridiculous! I have religiously watched the superman and supergirl shows which have been cancelled. Only Wild Cards will bring me back to watching the CW.
So sad that ‘Whose Line is it Anyway?’ is on the schedule.
I’m hoping we’ll get the annual calendar now so we can really plan out what we will be watching which night.
I will never understand why Nester went to the trouble of getting a network that had a following and then promptly did everything possible to alienate that following….
If there was ever a way to ensure that your network fails, this would be it. Good luck CW, I won’t be watching……
I think the cancelation of Walker, Walker Indepence, and The Winchesters is a big Mistake! Sure they started off slowly but they were good shows and one of the few that I actually watch on the CW. They (CW) seem to want to rebrand but it seems they are getting in to fake Reality and game shows. I hope they reconsider but if not I will be watching a different network. It’s truly sad because 5 years ago, The CW accounted for about 95% of what I watched. Soon it will be theabout 1%.
Just Can’t Wait 2 Watch Them All ASAP. Love Them.
Are my two “favorite” CW shows returning since I have anticipated their return date: Son Of A Critch and Family Law? I cannot fathom not being able to watch these shows which are funny and entertaining. I cannot believe that some of the returning shows such as “The Conners” is on over and over when these two shows could occupy that time slot. Please give me the good news that those two shows are returning so I will not have to stop watching the CW station.
