A Discovery of Witches Final Season Trailer Teases One Powerful Twin Pregnancy and an ‘Epic Conclusion’
The witching hour… will be ending in early 2022, with the final season of A Discovery of Witches. But if the newly released trailer is any indication, the supernatural drama is conjuring an “epic conclusion.”
AMC+, Sundance Now and Shudder released on Friday the above trailer for A Discovery of Witches‘ third and final season, which is based on The Book of Life from Deborah Harkness’s All Souls trilogy and finds Matthew (played by Matthew Goode) and Diana (Teresa Palmer) returning from 1590 to present day and combating what they left behind.
Among the teaser’s highlights, it is warned(/feared?) that the power that Diana’s unborn twins might come to possess — being the product of a vampire and a witch, and all! — is “unprecedented.” There’s also one cool-looking supernatural showdown.
A Discovery of Witches‘ farewell run will premiere in January 2022 in the U.S. on AMC+, Sundance Now and Shudder.
In addition to Goode and Palmer, the ensemble cast included Owen Teale, Malin Buska, Alex Kingston, Aiysha Hart, Edward Bluemel, Lindsay Duncan, Peter McDonald, Trevor Eve, Gregg Chillin, Adelle Leonce, Tanya Moodie, Daniel Ezra, Toby Regbo, Steven Cree, Jacob Ifan, Ivanno Jeremiah, Greg McHugh, Olivier Huband, Paul Rhys and Parker Sawyers.

I am Freakin’ out, excited I’ve read the books while watching program… can’t wait and hope it meets the expectations from what’s in the book to the screen because book it’s incredible.

I believe that was the actor who was recast due to availability issues.
3 short seasons versus what the books cover is complete crap. Too many changes, too many cuts.
That’s kinda the nature of an adaptation. But I actually felt there was a lot of useless stuff in the books that wasn’t needed.

It’s the All Souls Trilogy. There are only 3 books.
What other books are you talking about? Deborah Harkness has only written one other piece of fiction, Time’s Convent, which is about Matthew Clairmont’s vampire son.
Times Convert is inclusive and extends the stories of the trilogy.
Deb still owns the rights to Times Convert so we won’t be seeing it any time soon

I’m the USA A Discovery of Witches had 15 minutes cut from each show. Just because there were only 3 books doesn’t mean the show had to end, why couldn’t the powers to be hire great writers and continue the story line. There were so many great story lines to be continued, such as who was Phillips Clairmount?

There are only 3 books… and the first two seasons covered the first 2 books.
Omg it looks incredible this has become one of my favourite series and I wish it would never end! January can’t come soon enough.
