The activity of the Trust, Security and Privacy research unit is focused on the definition of models, methodologies and tools concerning the security of information and communications in the next generation Internet and, more generally, for information and communication technologies.
In particular, the research unit has a significant expertise on cyber security and crime, formal models for security and trust, trust and reputation management, data sharing agreements, parental control technologies, language-based security, authentication, usage control monitoring and enforcement, privacy-aware technologies, security metrics and risk management, modeling of online behaviours, and distributed ledgers, in several application scenarios such as distributed systems, Cloud, mobile devices, Internet of Things, Automotive, Critical infrastructures, Social media and E-health.
