1. Choose the DirtBike SchoolSM that meets your needs:
    Closed Range Exercises (CRE)
    Prerequisites: Ability to ride a bicycle. Class may be limited to specific age groups.
    A one-day class for people who would like to learn how to ride and understand the characteristics of an off-road motorcycle. There is no formal classroom segment - all activities are conducted primarily in a dirt lot.
    Introduction to Trail Riding (ITR)
    Prerequisites: Completion of the DirtBike Closed Range Exercises or possession of basic skills.
    An extension of the DirtBike Closed Range Exercises, this half-day class uses existing trails to provide learning experiences regarding proper dirt bike operation. Stressed is use of proper judgement to ensure skills are adequate for select environments. Participants should provide their own safe dirt bike.
    Adventure Bike RiderCourse
    Prerequisite: The course is for licensed riders who own an adventure bike (ADV) and have experience with it on the street. (No experience riding off-pavement is required.)
    The AdventureBike RiderCourse is a fun, positive experience for ADV riders who wish to practice skills specific to ADV off-pavement riding. It provides fundamental skills on a low-traction surface with an emphasis on body position and control use specific to off-pavement riding.
  2. All students must provide and wear the following personal items for all on-motorcycle instruction:
    • Helmet
    • Goggles
    • Over-the-ankle footwear. (not cloth, canvas, etc.)
    • Long non-flare denim pants or material of equivalent or better durability.
    • Long-sleeved shirt or jacket.
    • Full-fingered gloves.
  3. Course Fees:
    The cost of attending a DBS Course will vary depending on your training provider.
