Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar was diagnosed with cancer last year, which required him to undergo a surgical procedure in the United States. After successfully battling the disease and being declared cancer-free, Shiva Rajkumar is now back on his feet.
In a recent interview with 123Telugu, the 'Jailer' actor shared about the first time he learned about his cancer diagnosis. Despite the initial shock, he found strength in his family and medical team. He mentioned that he continued working on films while undergoing chemotherapy. He even shot the climax of his movie '45' during that time.
The 62-year-old actor said, "I was a bit shaken initially, but my family and my doctors instilled confidence in me. I shot for movies while simultaneously undergoing chemotherapy. It was quite difficult. You’d be shocked to see how I acted in the climax of 45."
Now fully recovered, Shiva Rajkumar is set to resume work. He will soon join the sets of Ram Charan's sports drama film 'RC16,' directed by Buchi Babu Sana.

Shiva Rajkumar has revealed that he will play a unique role in the film, which he will begin shooting for on March 5 in Hyderabad. He said, ""I will resume shooting for my upcoming movies from March 3. I will join Ram Charan's RC16 team in Hyderabad on March 5. I'm playing a very special role in the movie. I will shoot for three days for RC16. I thank my fans and well-wishers from the industry for their love and support during my difficult times."

Shiva Rajkumar's family, particularly his wife Geetha and daughter Nivedita, were his pillars of strength throughout his treatment. They accompanied him to the Miami Cancer Institute, where he underwent surgery to remove his cancerous bladder and have an artificial one created using part of his intestine.
