The teaser trailer for
Salman Khan’s much-anticipated action film Sikandar, directed by A.R. Murugadoss, has taken social media by storm. Released on Saturday, the teaser sees Salman return to the big screen with his signature charisma and swag as he portrays the titular action hero.
The clip features the superstar as a one-man fighting machine, who goes up against armed assailants in a high-stakes gun battle. A standout moment from the teaser is a powerful dialogue by Salman, "Suna hai ki bahut saare log mere peeche pade hain. Bas mere mudne ki der hai."

While fans initially praised the thrilling action sequences and captivating cinematography, repeated viewings of the clip led many to speculate that the dialogue might be a veiled jibe at gangster
Lawrence Bishnoi and his gang, who had issued threats to Salman and his family over the past year.
Twitter erupted with reactions to the teaser, with many users convinced that the dialogue was the actor's response to the gangster. “Yeh #Sikandar ka teaser hai ya troll kiya hai uss Lawrence ko... Bhai ne toh warning de di,” one fan tweeted.
Another wrote, “What an epic reply to Lawrence Bishnoi gang by #SalmanKhan... Already in love with the dialogue!”
A third user added, “Jab bhi video dekhti hu lagta open challenge dere hai Sallu Bhai uss #LawrenceBishnoi aur baki haters ko.”
It must be noted that the teaser doesn’t directly address these incidents, however, fans believe the dialogue reflects Salman's unshaken resolve in the face of these threats.
Aside from the speculation, fans raved about the teaser’s background score, particularly the energetic lyrics, “Kaun Sikandar... aaja, aaja re batlaza.”
The Bishnoi gang has targeted Salman Khan and his family multiple times over the past year, sending death threats and raising security concerns. The actor was forced to heighten security cover after two men opened fire outside his residence in Bandra. He was also asked to refrain from making public appearances after the murder of his good friend and politician Baba Siddique.
This is not the first time that netizens have linked a film trailer to happenings in an actor's private lives. Previously, during the trailer launch of
Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan', fans speculated that the actor's dialogue "Bete ko haath lagane se pehle, baap se baat kar" was directed at Sameer Wankhede for arresting his son
Aryan Khan in a highly publicised drugs case. Aryan was later given a clean chit in the case, while Wankhede was booked for allegedly demanding a Rs 25 crore bribe.
The 'Sikandar' trailer was initially scheduled for release on Salman’s birthday, December 27. However, out of respect for the passing of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, the filmmakers chose to postpone the unveiling by a day. The film is slated to release on Eid 2025.
