Soumitra Das, TNN, Jan 18, 2025, 12.20 AM ISTCritic's Rating: 3.5Story: Kedar (played by Hiten Kumar) and Mitali (played by Kaajal Oza Vaidya), who have been married for 30 years, share the kind of bond that can easily give relationship goals to today’s generation. They also have a very loving family, and everything seems just perfect. So, why do they decide to go to their farmhouse and stay away from their kids? And how does their bond inspire Aarav (played by Sunny Pancholi) and his girlfriend Antara (played by Vyoma Nandi), especially Antara, who doesn’t believe in the institution of marriage at first? The story explores these aspects, and more, while celebrating the magical emotion called love.
Review: Without giving away too much, the film talks about a subject that hasn’t been explored much in Gujarati cinema, and it deserves kudos for that. It takes its own sweet time, especially in the first half, to get to the main plot, while the second half is certainly its strong point. Director Dharmesh Patel has done a decent job when it comes to portraying relationships, exploring the journey of two couples belonging to different generations. The story, written by Kaajal Oza Vaidya (who also plays the lead opposite Hiten Kumar), offers ample scope to the lead actors to showcase their craft and both Oza and Kumar are in fine form during the emotional scenes. Hitu Kanodia’s cameo is an important one and watch out for a scene where Kumar and he, two of the industry’s finest actors, share a heart-to-heart conversation. Hiten Kumar and Kaajal Oza Vaidya’s onscreen pairing works well for this story, and the film deserves an extra half star for the strong performances. Sunny Pancholi, making a comeback to Gujarati films after six years, and Vyoma Nandi make for a cute onscreen pair too. The supporting cast, comprising Naman Gor, Sonu Chandrapal, Reeva Rachh, Vistaasp Gotla, Firoz Irani, Hitesh Raval, Jignesh Patel and Jahanvi Patel, among others, has done a good job. The music by Ripul Sharma and Abhijit Vaghani is hummable, especially the title track and Saath Choote Naa. The sweet ending makes the audiences leave the theatre on a happy note.
