KOTTAYAM: Punnapra police have asked controversial 'dalal' T G
Nandakumar to appear before them on May 11 based on a character assassination complaint filed to DGP by BJP functionary Sobha Surendran.
The NDA candidate from Alappuzha had lived in a rented house in Punnapra police station limits during the elections.
Nandakumar had alleged during a press conference in Kochi that Surendran had taken Rs 10 lakh from him in connection with a land deal. He also said Surendran had tried to leave BJP and become an LDF candidate in Vadakkanchery in 2016. He also alleged she refused to return the money despite demanding several times as he found there was no clarity in the documents.
Surendran replied that Rs 10 lakh was the advance amount she received from Nandakumar for the land and he refused to complete the registration and buy it despite asking many a time.
