Jann Rustin arrived Monday evening at St. Simons Presbyterian Church ready to play — or sing — her part in the Golden Isles Community Messiah Chorus’ annual performance of the George Frideric Handel composition “Messiah.”

While “Messiah” is in three parts, the Golden Isles group performs just the first part and the well-known “Hallelujah” chorus. It’s scheduled for 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 1, in St. Simons Presbyterian Church, 205 Kings Way. The concert is free but donations are gratefully accepted.
